James Suckling: "A scented, mineral nose, showing red berries and cherries. Lighter this year on the medium-bodied palate, this has firm tannins tightly wound into the less intense red fruit. Quite juicy and refined. Elegant. Likely to be a very well-balanced and drinkable wine."

Falstaff: "Dunkles Rubingranat, violette Reflexe, zarte Randaufhellung. Eingelegte rote Kirschen, feines Cassis, ein Hauch von Kräuterwürze, Nuancen von Edelholz. Komplex, saftig, reife Frucht, zart nach Zwetschken, tragende, eingebundene Tannine, frisch strukturiert, bleibt gut haften, mineralischer Nachhall, vielversprechendes Entwicklungspotenzial."

James Suckling: "Good depth on the nose for this vintage, showing smoked herbs and dark cherries. Fluid in the middle with firm, chewy tannins and a tight-grained finish."

Falstaff: "Dunkles Rubingranat, violette Reflexe, zarte Randaufhellung. Zart nach reifen Pflaumen, ein Hauch von Nougat und Pflaumen, kandierte Orangenzesten. Saftig, elegant, reife Kirschen, frische Säurestruktur, ein Hauch von Schokolade auch im Abgang, gute Länge, sicheres Reifepotenzial."

James Suckling: "Rich, deep black fruit with dark chocolate. Tight and medium- to full-bodied, this has chewy tannins and a flavorful finish. Sweet spices extend the length."

Jane Anson: "Sappy, vivid red and black fruits, nice depth of colour, and although there is austerity here, it is enjoyable, washed by cloves, black pepper and gunsmoke, 20% new oak casks, harvest 30 September to 7 October. In organic conversion. Family estate of Nicolas and Cyrille Thienpont. First vintage with some Malbec in the wine, tasted twice."

Lisa Perrotti-Brown: "Rolls out with notes of fresh Granny Smith apples and grapefruit oil with hints of chalk dust, dill seed, and wet slate. The light-bodied palate is crisp and intense with racy citrus flavors and a good long zesty finish."

Lisa Perrotti-Brown: "Deep garnet-purple colored. Notes of wild blueberries and red cherries pop from the glass, leading to hints of lilac, tar, licorice, and spearmint. The light to medium-bodied palate is silky and pure with beautiful red and blue fruit flavors and wonderfully balanced acidity, finishing long and fragrant."

James Suckling: "A juicy red full of red plums and spiced cherries. Quite succulent and bright, with a medium body and fine tannins. The wine is not heavily extracted, which helps achieve balance and good quality tannins. A lighter year, but I like the poise and drinkability. 78.5% merlot and 21.5% cabernet franc."

James Suckling: "Good depth for this vintage, with lots of brightness. Medium-bodied with a good amount of fine tannins and lots of bright, juicy fruit. Dark cherries and a touch of fine spices. Fresh and friendly, with good texture and length. A classic vintage with lighter weight and very little perception of sweetness. 77.2% merlot and 22.8% cabernet franc."

James Suckling: "A well-made, fresh and pretty flavorful white, showing lemons, meringue and some quince peel on the nose. This has medium body and vibrant, medium-high acidity. Lively and textured with a supple finish. A blend of 66% semillon and 34% sauvignon blanc."

James Suckling: "A juicy, balanced and chocolaty red with plums and herbs on the nose, following through to a medium body with creamy tannins. Plenty of texture. Berries and chocolate on the flavorful finish."

66,50 Euro im Vergleich zu 83,30 Euro des Vorjahres sind ein klares Statement! Wir haben den Wein zweimal gemeinsam mit NICOLAS AUDEBERT verkostet. Was er und sein Team auf CHATEAU CANON, CHATEAU BERLIQUET und CHATEAU RAUZAN SEGLA unter Mithilfe von THOMAS DUCLOS auf die Beine stellen, ist atemberaubend. Auch Nicolas arbeitete mit 12% Presswein, den er der Cuvee aus 63,5% Cabernet Sauvignon, 34% Merlot und dem Rest Petit Verdot und Cabernet Franc hinzufügte. Lediglich 50% der 30hl/ha schafften es in den finalen Blend, insofern eine knallharte Selektion. Was dabei herauskam, ist ein Wein, so wie sich jeder seinen Körper wünscht, durchtrainiert und muskulös, dabei aber filigran und beweglich. Ein top Margaux!

Vinum: "Komplex, noch etwas vom Holz geprägt, subtile Röstnoten über kandierten Früchten, dazu Lavendelhonig; reichhaltig am Gaumen, zwei Mund voll Wein, grosse aromatische Komplexität, ausgezeichnete Länge, für eine kleine Ewigkeit gebaut."

Falstaff: "Kräftiges Rubingranat, violette Reflexe, breitere Randaufhellung. Nuancen von Gewürznelken, rote Kirschen, tabakige Noten. Schlank, frisches rotes Waldbeerkonfit, ein Hauch von Süße, ein charmanter, unkomplizierter Speisenbegleiter."

Jeb Dunnuck: "The 2024 Château Ripeau is a clear success and brings more texture and mid-palate depth than most. Assorted darker berries, juicy cassis, spicy wood, tobacco, and floral notes all shine here, and it's medium-bodied, has plenty of mid-palate depth, and ripe tannins. It's easily going to be outstanding. Tasted twice."

James Suckling: "This has purity of fruit, showing plums, sweet cherries and raspberries with some spice on the nose, following through to a medium body, fine tannins and an elegant finish. Some chalk and stones. Bright at the end. A blend of 80% merlot and 20% cabernet franc."
