ANSON: "Medium intensity ruby, redcurrant and cedar, highly perfumed aromatics, this starts off with an attractive kick of fresh fruits that are vivid, not stalky, but certainly high acidity with a mouthwatering signoff, balanced by sweet oak. Careful winemaking on display, slate texture tannins, no need to wait too long but there are hidden depths that will become more evident over ageing. Harvest 24 September to 8 October. Same family since 1998, Jean-Charles Sioen owner and estate director, living between Belgium and St Emilion. Cabernet Franc aged in amphora. Organic certified."
