Lisa Perrotti-Brown: "Deep garnet-purple colored. Sails out with bold notes of black raspberries and fresh red cherries, giving way to hints of tar and sautéed herbs. The light to medium-bodied palate delivers grainy tannins and well-knit acidity to match the elegant red fruit, finishing on a mineral note."

James Suckling: "A medium-bodied red with some pretty cherry and stone character, firm tannins and a crunchy finish. Clean, firm and almost steely at the end."

Jane Anson: "Soft to medium intensity plum colour, smoked earth, a touch of rusticity to the tannins but there is impressively balanced red and black fruits alongside, raspberry leaf and cloves. Austere on the finish. Harvest 17 September to 3 October. 40 hl/ha. 40% new oak, 15% in amphora for ageing."

Jeb Dunnuck: "Always solid, the 2024 Château La Louvière delivers red and black currants, scorched earth, graphite, and floral notes. Medium-bodied and fresh on the palate, it has solid density, focused depth, ripe tannins, and integrated acidity."

The Wine Cellar Insider: "Black cherries, licorice, and smoke create the core of the wines character. On the palate, the wine is medium-bodied, bright, fresh, and vibrant, with strawberries, and currants with a lively presence on the mid-palate that carries through to the finish. This should deliver pleasure for at least 12 or more years. Drink from 2027-2040."
