Jeb Dunnuck: A Merlot-heavy blend of 75% Merlot, 20% Cabernet Franc, and 5% Petit Verdot that will spend 18 months in 60% new French oak, the 2025 Château Badette has absolutely gorgeous aromatics of ripe black cherries, currants, smoky tobacco, graphite, and chocolate. On the palate, it's medium to full-bodied, with a concentrated, layered mouthfeel, ripe tannins, and beautifully integrated acidity, hitting 14.5% alcohol. It's a sexy, pleasure-bent, impeccably made effort that should be snatched up by readers."

Lisa Perrotti-Brown: Deep garnet-purple in color, the nose of the 2025 Barde Haut is a field of flowers-violets, roses, and lavender-leading to a core of black raspberries and black cherries, plus a hint of forest floor. The medium-bodied palate is wonderfully graceful with very fine-grained tannins and fantastic tension framing the perfumed black and blue fruit layers, finishing long and minerally. Gorgeous. The blend is 80% Merlot and 20% Cabernet Franc. The alcohol is 14% and the pH is 3.45."

The Wine Cellar Insider: Beau-Sejour Becot has been on fire lately, and the 2025 shows why. Concentrated, lusciously textured, creamy, and fresh, the wine delivers an intensity of fruit and a surreal sense of purity that hits all your pleasure buttons. The finish is all about its nonstop, seamless layers of velvety fruit that coat your palate as they linger for over 60 seconds. The wine is aged in 50% new French oak barrels, along with foudres and amphora. The wine blends 78% Merlot with 22% Cabernet Franc. 13% ABV, 3.5 pH. The harvest took place September 25 - October 4. Decanter: Wonderful fragrance, floral, clean, alive and expressive. Smooth and succulent, this has such a sapid character - plump and juicy but also really crystalline, mineral and firm around the edges with a lot of black liquorice, tobacco, and wet stone showing the gravely terroir. A bit marked by oak right now but this will be a beauty."

Jane Anson: The consistency and impressive quality of Beaumont is again in evidence, slate, cocoa bean, dark chocolate, a slate drag through the palate exactly as you want, delivering estate signature, ageing potential but above all a mouthwatering drinkabilty. Vinum: Dunkelfruchtig, mit Schwarzkirschen, etwas Tabak, Zartbitterschokolade, Süssholz und kühlem Kamin im Duft; im Auftakt weich und rund, baut am mittleren Gaumen viel Druck auf, ist jedoch weniger wuchtig als in anderen Jahren, zupackendes, reifes Kalktannin verleiht Halt, die Säure ist perfekt abgestimmt und trägt den Wein in ein fast nicht enden wollendes Finale. Das ist ein kleines Wein-Monument und mit Sicherheit der beste Bellefont-Belcier, den ich bisher verkosten durfte."
