Jeb Dunnuck: Deep purple-hued, the 2025 Château Ripeau comes from deeper clay soils behind Cheval Blanc, not far from Pomerol, and is a blend of 65% Merlot, 30% Cabernet Franc, and 5% Cabernet Sauvignon that's being raised 18 months in 50% new barrels. Cassis, liquid violets, graphite, blueberries, and smoky nuances all define the aromatics, and on the palate, it's fleshy and medium to full-bodied, with supple, polished tannins and outstanding length. I love its purity, and it's a supple, pleasure-bent beauty in the vintage."

Juicy and upfront, this has such a bright opening with clarity to the bramble fruit and acidity that drives the wine forward. Perfumed and pure, very classy and drinkable. Lovely hands off approach."

Lisa Perrotti-Brown: Deep garnet-purple colored, the 2025 Saint-Pierre slowly emerges from the glass with delicate, fragrant notes of fresh black and red currants and violets, followed by hints of graphite and wild sage. The medium-bodied palate is tightly wound and intense with soft-spoken savory and mineral-laced black fruit layers, framed by firm, grainy tannins and a refreshing line, finishing long and perfumed. This is a gorgeous, understated beauty! The blend is 78% Cabernet Sauvignon, 15% Merlot, 4% Cabernet Franc, and 3% Petit Verdot. The alcohol is 13%."

The palate is full-bodied, rich, powerful, deep, and creamy There is lift to the wealth of fruit that coats mouth and palate, leaving you with waves of supple, ripe, and sweet berries, and pit fruits. Give it a few years in the bottle and this going to be simply fabulous. The wine blends 86% Merlot, 7% Cabernet Franc, and 7% Cabernet Sauvignon. 13.5% ABV. Aging takes place in a combination of 50% new, French oak, 1 year old barrels, foudres and amphora. Harvesting took place September 15 - September 22. Drink from 2029-2055."

Decanter: Black fruit and fragranced notes on the nose. Smooth and supple, round and really excellently weighted, nothing out of place with plenty of minty cool freshness, licks of graphite, liquorice and wet stones with a softly chalky finish. Excellent bargain this year. Plenty to like, easy to drink with a really classic, approachable aspect. This stands out this year. 3.80pH. A yield of 30hl/ha. 5% Petit Verdot completes the blend."

Decanter: Gorgeous aromatics with a subtle iodine-inflected freshness set the tone. This Lalande-de-Pomerol shows refinement in its tannic extraction, carefully managed by Vincent Millet, also at the helm of Calon-Ségur. The élevage in 80% concrete preserves a clear sense of fruit. Notes of damson and forest strawberry are layered with a delicate hint of rose stem. The finish is long and composed-an understated success of the vintage. Tasted twice with similarly positive impressions."
