Wine Advocate: Approachable and harmonious, the 2025 Reysson reveals aromas of mulberries, dark cherry and flowers, with cassis nuances emerging with aeration. Medium-bodied, juicy and tensile, it’s well balanced, built around a core of fruit with good depth, framed by a finely grained, velvety tannic structure and concluding with a long, delicate finish."

Falstaff: Tiefdunkles Rubingranat, opaker Kern, violette Reflexe, dezente Randaufhellung. Feine schwarze Waldbeernote, dunkle Kirschen, tabakig, zarte Kräuterwürze. Straff, rotbeeriger Touch, feine Tannine, mineralisch, frisch strukturiert, salziger Nachhall, vielseitig einsetzbar."

Jane Anson: This takes its time to show its aromatics, fairly closed at first, blueberry and redcurrant fruits, intense, acidities gripping but with plenty of depth. Harvest September 5 to 22. One of the very few Médoc wines with no Cabernet Sauvignon at all, limestone and clay heavy soils - and they are currently planting more white grapes in the vineyard because these soils are so well suited to it."

Decanter: Really ripe aromatic display. Dense and plump tannins on the palate, a mix of ripe cherries and red berries with bright, almost racy acidity and lots of chalky tannins. Nice character, needs to settle and soften a bit more. No Cabernet Sauvignon here. Ageing 12-14 months. Pénélope Godefroy now technical director across the Maison Dourthe portfolio."
