Decanter: Lovely aromatics, floral and open on the nose with ripe blackcurrant and plum fruit as well as a cedar and cinnamon edges. Juicy and upfront, this has such a bright opening with clarity to the bramble fruit and acidity that drives the wine forward. Perfumed and pure, very classy and drinkable. Lovely hands off approach."

The Wine Cellar Insider: Intensely floral, you also discover chocolate, spice, licorice, plums, and black cherries in the nose. Sweet, lush, refined, and creamy, with purity and vibrancy to the fruits on the mid-palate that carry all the way through to the lengthy finish. Drink from 2028-2050."

Jeb Dunnuck: A rich, well-oaked Pomerol, the 2025 Château Rouget offers a solid nose of spicy black cherries, red plums, graphite, and vanilla. On the palate, it's medium to full-bodied, with ample mid-palate depth, ripe tannins, and beautiful overall balance. Based on 80% Merlot and 20% Cabernet Franc that's being raised 18 months in 20% new barrels, it checks in at 13% alcohol with a pH of 3.65. I like it!"

Jane Anson: Intense, concentrated, deep dark and sweet berry fruits, this is good quality if lacking in a little lift through the finish, muscular and sinewy, with clear Porimol character, and an oyster shell twist on the finish."

Falstaff: Tiefdunkles Rubingranat, opaker Kern, violette Reflexe, zarte Randaufhellung.
