James Suckling: Bright, vibrant aromas of sliced apples, pears and lemons with some acacia and flint. The palate is dense and tight, with so much chalk and oyster shell character. Extremely long and pure, with vivid energy at the end. Sharp and driven by acidity. A blend of 90% sauvignon blanc, 5% semillon and 5% sauvignon gris."

Vinum: Feinduftig, kühl anmutend, florale Noten, kühler Kamin, dahinter exotische Frucht, nussige Noten; dichter Gaumen, fast schon zwei Mund voll Wein, ölige Textur, top Säure, grosser Spannungsbogen, ausgezeichnete Länge, mineralisch geprägtes, leicht phenolisches Finish mit reifer Zitrusfrucht und Rhabarber im Rückaroma. Wie schon der rote Smith ist auch dieser Wein ein kleines Wunder der Natur, das von einem talentierten Team auf die Flasche gebracht wurde."

Jeb Dunnuck: Honeyed citrus, orange blossom, mint, crushed stone, and brioche all emerge from the 2025 Château Smith Haut Lafitte Blanc, a blend of 90% Sauvignon Blanc, 5% Sauvignon Gris, and the rest Sémillon that's being raised in 50% new barrels with the balance in once-used oak. It's medium to full-bodied on the palate, with deep, rich, layered fruit and a lengthy, seamless finish. It's one of the whites of the vintage."

Falstaff: Helles Grüngelb, Silberreflexe. Frische Kräuter, ein Hauch von Birne und Melone, gelbe Stachelbeeren, zarte Holzwürze, kandierte Grapefruitzesten, weiße Blüten unterlegt, facettenreiches Bukett. Komplex, kraftvoll, mineralisch, weißes Steinobst, salziger Nachhall, etwas Blütenhonig, verfügt über große Länge, sicheres Reifepotenzial."

Decanter: Vanilla, caramel, warm honey, wax, dried herbs, flint, cool white peach and apple aromas. Explosive and alive, gorgeously clear and clean - there’s nuance and complexity here - but it’s lightly presented and delicate for Smith. Quite a streamlined style but actually the acidity is really well balance and not at all pronounced or too sharp. Clarity and cool freshness. Beautifully delineated, sophisticated with more tension and drive and energy than 2023. I like this a lot, a tiny dollop of sweet, tropical fruit with bitter elements too. The harvest for whites began on 20th August until 2nd September. A yield of 18hl/ha."
