Falstaff: Dunkles Rubingranat, opaker Kern, violette Reflexe, dezente Randaufhellung.

James Suckling: Linear and bright, with blackberries, lemon rind, chalk and a hint of salt on the nose. Medium-bodied with fine tannins and a long and intense finish. Vivid is the word. Great transparency. 85% merlot and 15% cabernet franc."

Decanter: Beautifully floral and alive on the nose, pure violets and ripe plummy notes with cool cola touches too. Almost heady aromatics. Svelte and smooth, a lovely soft and comforting texture straight away. This has both crisp fruit touches with slightly fleshy tannins - a bit of brisk citric acidity keeps it focused and tangy but there’s definitely intensity and concentration to this too. Nothing overdone, but you can feel the heat and spice on the finish. Cranberry and blackcurrant. I like this because it’s confident, it’s not over the top or too much, but it’s definitely showing a 2022 side to it which many don't. However, it’s succulent and crisp at the same time ending cool, laser sharp, chalky with a limestone, flint grip. Very good, a lot going on here - really very nuanced."

Jane Anson: Full on crushed rose petals and bright fruits layered over a saline limestone masterclass, singing with bright redcurrant, raspberry, citrus, ad sage-infused fruit. You know this is going to go and go, pumice stone and liquorice, totally gorgeous, full of energy and well-harvessed acidity. 20% new oak. 35hl/h yields."

Vinum: Rocheyron zeigt sich expressiv, floral, mit Himbeerbonbon, Cassis und nussigen Noten; eleganter Gaumen, delikate, knackige Frucht, markantes, steinig geprägtes Tannin, viel Spannung und Energie, hervorragende Länge, salziges, rotfruchtiges Finale. Ein hervorragender, frischer und finessenreicher Saint-Emilion."
