Der neue Keller ist fertig, und was für ein beeindruckender Keller das geworden ist, Chapeau! Und 2025 ist der erste Jahrgang mit dem die komplett neue Infrastruktur mit Reifekeller und Gärkeller zum Einsatz kam. Das Ergebnis ist beeindruckend und erinnert stark an den Jahrhundert-Jahrgang 2022. Die früheste Lese, die jemals auf diesem Weingut verzeichnet wurde. 23 hl/ha, 13,6% Alkohol, 82% Cabernet Sauvignon, 12% Cabernet Franc, 6% Merlot riefen in feinst designten Kellern zur Perfektion. Brombeeren, Cassis, schwarze Schokolade, ganz feine, aber präsente Tannine, irre Mineralik und Frische, das ist ein aristokratischer Las Cases, der die Premier Cru Qualität dieses Gutes bestätigt. Nicht umsonst strebt man hier den Status Premier Cru an, zu guter Recht. Zwei mal 100, vier Mal 99 und unzählige 98 Punkte!

Gibt es einen Wein im Médoc, den man als sexy bezeichnen kann, dann ist es Poyferre. Poyferre kann die perfekte Symbiose aus Frucht, Süße, Power und Eleganz, und so auch wieder im Jahrgang 2025. Leider jedoch waren die Erträge mit 20hl/ha sehr klein, eine der kleinsten jemals produzierten Mengen auf diesem St. Julien. 61 % Cabernet Sauvignon, 26 % Merlot, 8 % Cabernet Franc und 5 % Petit Verdot sind das 2025er Rezept. Die Aromatik aber, Kinder, was für eine Freude. Dunkle Früchte, Cappuccino, Tabak, Zedernholz, Bitterschokolade, das volle Portfolio. Dann diese Frische und Eleganz verleihende Säure. Ein SUPER WEIN aus einem SUPER JAHRGANG.

Es ist die Erfolgsstory in ganz Bordeaux. Niemals zuvor hat es jemand geschafft, binnen so weniger Jahre ein Chateau aus dem Dornröschenschlaf zu erwecken und auf Premier Cru level zu positionieren. Guillaume Poutier ist der Name des Regisseurs dieses mitten in der Stadt gelegenen Chateau, das man gut mit Dornröschen vergleichen kann. Die gesamte Bordeauxwelt beobachtet ihn, anerkennend und neidvoll. Denn was ihn so speziell macht, ist neben der Qualität seiner Weine die Tatsache, dass er näher am Markt ist als die meisten seiner Kollegen, zudem ist er ausgeprägter Weinliebhaber und Sammler, insofern auch auf der Käuferseite. Und er ist ein herausragender Kommunikator, der stolz über sein Ergebnis spricht. Sein 2025er, eine Cuvee aus 54% Cabernet Sauvignon, 29% Cabernet Franc und 17% Merlot wurde zu 65% als „whole cluster“ fermentiert, d.h. mit Stilen und Stengeln vergoren. Das Ergebnis ist wiederum einer der Jahrgangsweine. Derart frisch, dicht, komplex, mineralisch mit beeindruckender Salzigkeit, komplexen, feinen Tanninen und einer Harmonie, dass es einem den Atem verschlägt. Wir waren zwei Mal vor Ort, zwei Mal wurde unser Besuch gekrönt von einem gemeinsamen Mittagessen, sodass wir uns ein umfassendes Bild machen konnten. Dieser Wein ist der Hammer. 3 Mal 100 Punkte, weitere unzählige 99 und 98 Punkte Bewertungen.

Weinwisser: 85 % Merlot, 15 % Cabernet Franc, Alkohol 13.8 vol%. Betörendes laubeeriges Bouquet, edle Cassiswürze, zarter Veilchenduft. Am satten Gaumen mit cremiger Textur, engmaschigem Tanningerüst, balancierter Rasse und trainiertem Körper. Im konzentrierten, aromatischen, langen Finale ein Korb mit Heidelbeeren, Lakritze und feinkörniger Adstringenz. Dieser Lalande-de-Pomerol sollte auf keiner Einkaufsliste fehlen."

Lisa Perrotti-Brown: The 2025 Lespault-Martillac Blanc races out with bold notes of fresh pineapples and passion fruit, followed by hints of cedar, waxed lemons, and lime blossoms. The medium-bodied palate is racy with a chalky texture and exotic fruit layers, finishing with a zesty lift. The blend is 75% Sauvignon Blanc and 25% Sémillon. The alcohol is 13%."

Jeb Dunnuck: A Merlot-dominant blend of 65% Merlot, 30% Cabernet Sauvignon, and the rest Petit Verdot, the 2025 Château Lespault-Martillac is a gorgeous effort that's well worth your time and money. The nose reveals notes of ripe blackcurrants, spicy wood, and savory tobacco and herbal nuances. Medium to full-bodied on the palate, it has a pure, layered, graceful mouthfeel, terrific balance, and a great finish. It checks in at 13% alcohol with a pH of 3.61."

Jane Anson: Glass-staining purple colours, this is well rounded, lovely balance, firm tannins that take on more of a bite as things climb through the palate. Structured, enjoyable, cassis and sandalwood. 30% new oak, Eric Boissenot consultant. Certified organic since 2024 vintage."

Decanter: Fragranced violet aromas on the nose. Purity and clarity on the palate, lovely crisp blue fruit with very gently grippy tannins that give a touch of cushioning as well as lots of stony minerality - chalky, powdery and flint. Not super harmonious but this has a clear stone hold in the mouth with a fresh mint and dried herb aspect that lingers. I quite like its personality. Ripe, fresh and focused."

Unser Best Buddy JC, ein Drifter vor dem Herrn, ein Freund, mit dem man immer Spaß haben kann, hat mit dem Jahrgang 2025 einen absoluten BLUE CHIP rausgehauen. Vier Bewertungen bis 98 Punkte, dergleichen bis 97 bestätigen die Qualität dieses Dauerbrenners, nach den PREMIER CRU der wohl stärkste BRAND in ganz Bordeaux. 66% Cabernet Sauvignon, 28% Merlot, je 3% Cabernet Franc und Petit Verdot. Wir waren mehrmals Mal vor Ort, einmal kombiniert mit einem unvergesslichen Abendessen. Das ist ein LYNCH BAGES, der seine Identität klar zum Ausdruck bringt, mit Power, Gewürzen, schwarzen Beeren und Trüffel. Herausstechend in diesem Jahrgang jedoch, diese Finesse, die der Wein bereits mit der Primeurverkostung zeigt, das ist meist nicht der Fall. Ein super LYNCH BAGES der ganz großen Klasse.

James Suckling: A tight and solid wine with phenolic tension and bright acidity. Medium body, with sliced green apples and pears, with hints of honeysuckle, as well as mineral and sea salt undertones. Crunchy finish. A blend of 60% sauvignon blanc, 24% semillon, 11% muscadelle and 5% sauvignon gris. Drink now."

Jane Anson: Deep and rich in colour. Structured, toasted spice, dark chocolate, espresso, graphite, mint leaf. Great stuff, easy to recommend, one to look out for. 3.60 pH. 20% new oak. Harvest September 9 to 21. A far clearer link with the main Lynch Bages estate than many 2nd wines in the vintage, and one of the 'sibling' wines of the vintage. Nicolas Labenne technical director."

Decanter: Clean fragrance on the nose, black fruit and wild purple flowers with some creamy chocolate and vanilla touches. Round and filling, but less fleshy than Les Hauts, more taught and streamlined with focus and bite to the Cab strawberry and black currant fruit - pure and precise - with a lick of liquorice, graphite, cedar, tobacco, cigar, salt, flint and clove spice. Serious but with charm. Mint, freshness, a real Pauillac wine with strength but not too muscular."

James Suckling: The quality of the tannins shows through nicely, with black currants, orange peel, crushed stones and a hint of fresh herbs. It's medium-bodied with a creamy texture and lots of polish. Long, complete and succulent, with a touch of salt. A blend of 57.5% cabernet sauvignon, 39% merlot, 3% petit verdot and 0.5% cabernet franc."

James Suckling: This is so classy, with polish, transparency, a medium body and fresh acidity. Linear and racy, with a bright, icy finish and a steely and lightly bitter character at the end. An outstanding white."

Lisa Perrotti-Brown: Deep garnet-purple colored, the 2025 Malescot St. Exupéry prances out with gregarious notes of juicy blueberries and black raspberries, leading to hints of violets, mossy tree bark, and camphor. The medium-bodied palate is intense with shimmery blue and red berry flavors, supported by ripe, fine-grained tannins and great tension, finishing long and perfumed. Stunning!"

Ein grandioser PAVILLON ROUGE mit super Bewertungen, das ist alles andere als ein Zweitwein!

Jeb Dunnuck: All Sauvignon Blanc raised in 20% new barriques, the 2025 Château Margaux Pavillon Blanc checks in at 14% alcohol with a pH of 3.14. It has a riper-than-usual nose of citrus, honeyed lemon, white flowers, and chalky minerality, and on the palate, it's rich, pure, and concentrated, with remarkable depth and focus. As always, this is a brilliant, singular, absolutely riveting expression of Sauvignon Blanc."

Jane Anson: Closed on the nose, elegant with fine but plentiful tannins that layer up fast in the palate. Violet and peony floral notes, clear savoury edge of blue fruits this is precise, well structured, huge potential for ageing but also for pleasure. Yield 32 hl/ha. Harvest September 10 to 24. 45% new oak. 3.6 pH, one vat with whole bunch fermentation (4% of the blend). No need to green harvest because yields so naturally low. Decanter: Gorgeously pure blackcurrants and black cherries, so precise and fragrant on the nose - really intense and expressive. Sumptuous and succulent, this has a great juiciness with plenty of life and energy. Tannins are prominent and filling but soft and velvety not dry at all. Feels well made."
