Delphine Frey, Director of the Frey family estates, yield 20hl/ha. Xavier Moragues is the cellar master and technical director, with the estate for the past 18 months. New use of foudres and porcelain jars alongside oak barrels during the ageing, and the vineyard has also returned to its historic 1855 classified surface."

The Wine Cellar Insider: Flowers, black cherries, and licorice fill the fragrant profile. The medium-bodied palate is loaded with layers of sweet, juicy, ripe, chocolate-covered plums, cherries, licorice, espresso and spices. The finish continues along the same line with a refreshing energy in the fruits. The wine blends 80% Merlot, with 15% Cabernet Franc, and 5% Cabernet Sauvignon. Drink from 2028-2047."

Dieses 6,35 ha Weingut kann auf 55 Jahre alte Rebstöcke zurückgreifen, die auf exzellenten, kalkhaltigen Böden wachsen. Seit 2004 ist La Mauriane als BIO Weingut zertifiziert. Mit 78% dominiert Merlot, ergänzt von 22% Cabernet Franc. Der Ausbau erfolgt zu je 50% in neuen Barriques und in Demi-Muids Fässern (ca. 650 l).

Jeb Dunnuck: Honeyed peach, minty herbs, and flowers all define the 2025 Château La Mission Haut-Brion Blanc, a brilliant white based on 64.5% Sauvignon Blanc and 35.5% Sémillon that's being raised in 30% new oak, which is slightly less than in past vintages. Medium to full-bodied on the palate, it's incredibly pure and focused, with juicy acidity and a great finish. It's an absolutely stunning wine that pretty much stopped me in my tracks. Drink 2026-2050."

James Suckling: A powerful second wine with lots of chewy tannins and a stony and steely texture. Medium-bodied with a solid core of fruit and a fresh and bright finish. 52.6% cabernet sauvignon, 28.3% merlot, 18% cabernet franc and 1.1% petit verdot."

Wir waren anlässlich unseres Besuchs, der immer mit großer Freude, aber auch hohen Erwartungen einhergeht, zutiefst beeindruckt. Dieser Wein strotzt nur so vor Energie. Dunkle Früchte und Beeren, Raucharomen, Cassis, Bleistift, ein beeindruckender Mix, der sich am Gaumen fortsetzt. All dies ist so frisch, dabei ungemein cremig, dass man absolut nichts findet, was man kritisieren könnte. 2025 ist ein Traum von einem MISSION! Get it!

Dieser 2025er Jahrgang MONDOTTE schrammt mehrfach an der magischen 100er MARKE und das zu Recht. Denn LUDOVIC von NEIPPERG hat hier ganze Arbeit geleistet, selbstredend im Einklang mit dem hervorragenden Terroir weit oben auf dem Kalksteinplateau. Organische Bewirtschaftung wird hier bereits seit Jahren praktiziert. Und obgleich die 70 % Merlot und 30 % Cabernet Franc enorm konzentriert, süß und tief im Fruchtausdruck sind, hat dieser St. Emilion einen nahezu kühlen Ausdruck am Gaumen mit enormer Frische, straffer Mineralik und Säure, der ihn am Gaumen nahezu tänzeln lässt. Ein absoluter TOP-WEIN, zu den besten Jahrgängen gehörend und das auch noch unter Vorjahrespreis. Ein absolutes Must-have! 

Vinum: Dunkelfruchtig, Heidelbeeren, Brombeeren und mit bezaubernder Floralität, subtile Röstnote, kühler Kamin, ein verführerischer Duft; gradlinig und fokussiert am Gaumen, knackige Frucht, die Tannine sind in Massen vorhanden, seidenweich und fein mit der Frucht verwoben, das Holz ist perfekt verpackt; im Abgang von ausgezeichneter Länge, endet rotfruchtig, salin, mit pikanter Würze. Der beste, je produzierte La Pointe."

Jane Anson: Inky colour, delivering a wine with balance and slate-textured tannins, dark fruits, very much in the cassis and bilberry frame, dried herbs, good length and tension through the palate. Always a wine to follow, and it succeeds again. 3.3 pH. Harvest September 15 to 24. 20% new oak (400l casks), plus 30% in cement vats. Louis Rapin, der damalige Besitzer von La Tour Figeac erwarb im Jahr 1961 das kleine Anwesen in Pomerol. Nachdem einige Parzellen hinzugekommen sind, verlieh er dem Gut den Namen La Rose Figeac. Seit 2013 leitet das 4,56 ha große Chateau Nathalie Despagne, welches hauptsächlich mit Merlot und einem kleinen Teil Cabernet Franc bepflanzt ist. Das durchschnittliche Alter der Reben beträgt 30 Jahre.

Jeb Dunnuck: Tons of cassis and jammy blue fruits as well as classic leafy herbs, tobacco, and violets all emerge from the 2025 Château La Rousselle, a gorgeous Fronsac that has more than a passing resemblance to a solid Pomerol. On the palate, it's rich and full-bodied, with a round, lush mouthfeel and sweet tannins. I'd be thrilled to drink a bottle."

Falstaff: Tiefdunkles Rubingranat, opaker Kern, violette Reflexe, zarte Randaufhellung. Zart nach Veilchen und Gewürznelken, schwarze Herzkirschen, etwas Cassis und Lakritze, facettenreiches, einladendes Bukett. Saftig, reife Kirschen, zarte Extraktsüße, runde Tannine, gute Frische, bleibt haften, bereits harmonisch, zeigt gutes Reifepotenzial."

Vinum: Frischer Duft, mineralisch geprägt, Blütenhonig, Aprikose, Zartbitterorangen; der Gaumen ist saftig, reichhaltig, dabei frisch, knackige Frucht, viel Energie, leichtfüssig, würzig, mit markanter Dörraprikosennote im Finale. Finessenreich, strukturiert, lang, salzig. Ausgezeichnet."

James Suckling: Extremely floral and perfumed, with red fruit aromas that follow through to a medium body with fine and integrated tannins and a creamy texture. Pretty and seductive for this estate. Precise. 69% merlot, 28% cabernet sauvignon, 2% petit verdot, and 1% cabernet franc. Best La Tour Carnet in years."

James Suckling: Herbal and angular, combining nerve, freshness, texture and volume, giving length and flesh with a hint of salt. A blend of 60% sauvignon blanc and 40% semillon, aged half in new oak and half in first use."
