Dieser Canon La Gaffelière ist einmal mehr perfekt vinifiziert; eine Delikatesse sondergleichen."

Decanter: Quite a fragrant, aromatic nose, full of intense violets and irises. The Petit Verdot and the Cabernet Sauvignon really stand out in terms of aromatics. Vivid purple in the glass. Sleek and so svelte, this has such a silky, almost creamy texture, tannins are gorgeous and this has such a juicy, lively core. Nothing out of place here. Super accessible and one of the best primeurs samples for consistency tasted three times. Ends salty with a stony grip. Completed new cellar in July 2024 with 114 vats. The team used a thermal camera for plot-by-plot harvest in 2025. New label as this vintage. 4% Petit Verdot completes the blend. 3.6pH. A yield of 30hl/ha. 60% grand vin production. Ageing 12 months in barrel, 35% new wood."

Wine Advocate: The 2025 Cap St George reveals a bouquet marked by oak, with notes of clove and spice. Medium- to full-bodied, layered and structured, it’s built around a fleshy core of fruit and a solid chassis of tannins that support the integration of the élevage, concluding with a long, fresh, delicately spicy finish. This blend of 90% Merlot and 10% Cabernet Sauvignon shows strong potential in the making."

Jeb Dunnuck: Deep ruby-hued, the 2025 Château Capbern is a blend of 62% Cabernet Sauvignon, 36% Merlot, and 2% Cabernet Franc that will spend 18 months in 60% new oak. The bouquet offers cassis, black fruits, violets, and smoky tobacco and graphite nuances. On the palate, it's ripe and medium to full-bodied, with a round, layered mouthfeel, sweet tannins, and beautiful overall balance. Checking in at 13.8% alcohol with a pH of 3.6, this is a classy, juicy, elegant yet ripe and textured beauty."

James Suckling: A very bright wine with beautiful balance and freshness. Violets, raspberries and currants on the nose and palate. Medium-bodied with clarity and fine, integrated tannins. Hints of flint and graphite at the end. One of the best Carbonnieux in a long time. 45% merlot, 45% cabernet sauvignon, 5% cabernet franc and 5% petit verdot."

Decanter: Picked through to 4 September to get as much ripeness as possible - reaching 14% alcohol with a low pH of 3.11 - a sensational dry white for the vintage! First you get classically Sauvignon Blanc aromas bright, lifted, and immediately expressive, marked by zesty lime, citrus peel, and a distinctive hint of margarita-like salinity that adds both charm and precision. Then comes the palate: a harmonious combination of freshness and breadth with an attack crisp and vibrant, yet quickly expanding into a more generous, rounded mid-palate thanks to both Sémillon in the blend as well as lees stirring. The wine, ageing in 10% new oak, delivers a satisfying sense of volume often missing in leaner vintages. And the added width never compromises its energy; instead, it enhances complexity and drinkability. The saline-citrus character carries through to a clean, persistent finish, reinforcing balance and structure."

Der Name von Caronne Sainte Gemme (Zweitwein Les Viviers de Caronne) hat einen interessanten Ursprung. Der Namensteil „Caronne“ leitet sich von einer örtlichen Wasserquelle „Carona“ ab, ergänzende Aufzeichnungen aus dem 18. Jahrhundert besagen, dass „Sainte Gemme“ eine Abwandlung von Sainte Jame ist. James Suckling: Wow. This is really complex, with berries, olives, cedar and tobacco on the nose. Medium-bodied with a deep center palate and so much going on. The real deal in this vintage. Traditional Pomerol with clarity of character."

Decanter: This white Graves opens with soft, inviting aromas of nougat, a touch of herbal tea, and white stone fruit. The palate shows energy and freshness, with bright acidity carrying notes of sweet lime and a subtle saline edge. There is a pleasing richness to the texture, yet it remains poised and never heavy. A beautifully balanced and highly successful white, ageing in 50% new oak."

Decanter: Ageing in 50% new oak, this well-known Graves red opens with a pretty, floral nose, combining elegance with charm: damson, blackberry and blackcurrant, alongside notes reminiscent of quetsche tart and plum preserves. The palate carries a tannic presence, yet remains balanced overall. Slight austerity on the finish, but this already feels less pronounced on a second tasting, suggesting potential for refinement with time. A successful and promising wine."

Jeb Dunnuck: Darker cherries, graphite, spicy herbs, and some leather nuances all define the 2025 Château Charmail, a consistent Haut-Médoc that always delivers. It's medium-bodied on the palate, with fine tannins, good overall balance, and a good finish. It should easily be outstanding and have two decades of longevity."

Auf Chasse Spleen (Zweitweine L´Ermitage de Chasse Spleen und L´Oratoire de Chasse Spleen) wird bereits seit dem 12. Jahrhundert Wein angebaut. Seit 1976 jedoch ist das Frauensache. Jeb Dunnuck: Ripe cherries, currants, tobacco, and assorted violet and floral notes all define the 2025 Château Chauvin, a beautiful Saint-Émilion Grand Cru Classé based on 73% Merlot, 22% Cabernet Franc, and 5% Cabernet Sauvignon that will spend 14 to 16 months in 43% new oak. On the palate, it's medium-bodied, with a fresh, focused mouthfeel, ripe and nicely polished tannins, and a great finish. It checks in at 13% alcohol with a pH of 3.6. This is a beautiful 2025 in the making, if not a real superstar."

Chateau Cheval Blanc wurde mit Legenden wie dem berühmten 47-er zu einer der Referenzen des Weins, nicht nur in Bordeaux, sondern weltweit. Spricht man von den größten Weinen überhaupt, fällt immer auch der Name CHATEAU CHEVAL BLANC. 2015 erzielte eine 6 Liter Flasche des 1947-er Cheval Blanc in einer Auktion einen Verkaufspreis von sage und schreibe 304.375.- US Dollar. Doch so groß der Name, so

Zweimal waren wir auf CHATEAU CHEVAL BLANC zur Verkostung des Jahrganges 2025, und zweimal waren wir zutiefst beeindruckt von diesem grandiosen Wein. Dabei stellte der Jahrgang das Team von PIERRE OLIVIER CLOUET auf eine harte Probe. Die lange, mehrmonatige Trockenperiode kostete enorm Erträge, sodass letztlich eine Mini-Menge von lediglich 15hl/ha übrigblieb. Das sind Sauternes-Erträge und weniger als die Hälfte einer Normalernte für CHATEAU CHEVAL BLANC! 200 kg Beeren wurden benötigt um 100 Liter Wein zu produzieren. (Normalwert liegt ca. bei 130–160 kg Trauben für 100 Liter Wein.) Die Beerengewichte lagen bei 0,7 g! Das sind beeindruckende wie schockierende Zahlen. Kein Zweitwein, alles ging in den Erstwein, der, so mutmaßt man, in einer Auflage von nur 5.000 Kisten auf den Markt kommen wird. Ein Release, die gesamte Menge kommt auf den Markt, das war´s… Die Bewertungen sind enorm hoch und bestätigen unsere Aussage von Mitte April, lange vor jedem Bewerter – siehe Instagram. Sehen Sie sich unbedingt nochmal unseren Post und den Jahrgangskommentar von ARNAUD DE FOURCADE an. Unsere damalige Aussage: „…I can just recommend all of our customer to get on this wine...” Dies ist einer der Weine des Jahrganges. Derart präzise gezeichnet, mit niedrigem Alkoholgehalt von sage und schreibe 12,7% – Dank dem Regen vor der Lese – konturierte Säure und einem Charme und einer Frische, die nur CHATEAU CHEVAL BLANC zeigt. Das ist ein Hammer von einem 2025er, der unbedingt auf Ihrem Einkaufszettel stehen muss.
