Lisa Perrotti-Brown: Deep garnet-purple in color, the 2025 Berliquet hops from the glass with vivacious notes of wild blueberries and black raspberries, opening out to a fragrant undercurrent of peonies, star anise, and wild sage with a touch of tilled loam. The medium- to full-bodied palate is bright as a penny with a crisp line and very fine-grained tannins supporting the tightly wound blue and black fruit layers, finishing with a skip in its step. The blend is 61% Merlot and 39% Cabernet Franc. The alcohol is 14% with a pH of 3.44. It will age 16-18 months mainly in French oak, 38% new, with 23% amphorae. Yields were 42 hl/ha."

Jeb Dunnuck: A brilliant, deeply hued wine, the 2025 Château Beychevelle is based on 52% Cabernet Sauvignon, 43% Merlot, and 5% Petit Verdot, and is still resting in 70% new oak. One of the earliest harvests ever recorded at this château, with very tiny yields, it has a ripe, sexy, gorgeously textured style with ripe black cherries, graphite, spicy wood, and dried flowers on the nose. On the palate, it's medium to full-bodied, with a round, layered mouthfeel, velvety tannins, and a blockbuster finish. Hitting 13.5% alcohol with a pH of 3.6, this is a ripe, expressive Beychevelle that will evolve gracefully for 30 years or more. Tasted twice with consistent notes."

Wine Advocate: The 2025 Bourgneuf continues this estate's rapid upward trajectory. Unwinding in the glass with notes of sweet blackberries, spices and truffle, it's medium- to full-bodied, dense and layered, with a broad, unctuous attack, excellent concentration and a long, resonant finish. Seit im Jahr 1996 Annick und Jean-Pierre Marie zusammen mit ihrem Sohn Nicolas das Weingut übernommen haben, geht es mit der Qualität sprunghaft nach oben. Die komplette Kellertechnik wurde erneuert, eine Abwasseraufbereitungsanlage in Betrieb genommen und sechs Hektar auf biologischen Anbau umgestellt.
