ANSON: "Black cherry, soft tannins, not forced or overly concentrated, with fruit integrity and pep. 34hl/h yield, 3.4ph, harvest September 30 to October 4, slow and soft maceration to control any hard tannins, and this is an enjoyable wine from the Garcin-Cathiard family."

LISA PERROTTI-BROWN: "Deep garnet-purple colored. Starts off a little shy, needing some shaking to wake up scents of fresh red currants and kirsch, leading to hints of lavender, fallen leaves, and cinnamon stick. The light to medium-bodied palate is tight-knit and wonderfully bright, delivering vibrant red berry flavors and a fine-grained texture, finishing long and refreshing."

THE WINE CELLAR INSIDER: "Fresh, floral, and fruity, the wine is medium-bodied and already showing its waves of sweet, ripe, vibrant, deep red fruits, with a touch of cocoa to round everything out. There is lift, and really fine energy here from start to finish. The wine blends 80% Merlot with 20% Cabernet Franc. 13% ABV. Drink from 2027-2039."

JEB DUNNUCK: "The 2024 Château Barde-Haut sports a healthy ruby/purple hue as well as classic aromatics of red and black cherries, leafy herbs, tobacco, and damp earth. It's ripe, medium-bodied, has a supple, graceful mouthfeel, and fine tannins. A solid, balanced, complete, and incredibly satisfying Saint-Émilion, it will unquestionably be an outstanding wine and have 10-15 years of overall prime drinking."
