VINUM: "Wie oft mit strahlendem Duft, sehr komplex, floral und verspielt, Veilchen, Minze über roter Frucht; am Gaumen feingliedrig, frisch, mit grossem Spannungsbogen, baut am mittleren Gaumen aus, bleibt dabei straff, zupackendes Tannin, hervorragende Säure; rotfruchtig, mit Blutorangen und einer deutlichen Mineralik im Abgang. Prances out of the glass with showy notes of red cherry pie, red currant jelly, and black raspberries, opening out to suggestions of rose oil, cardamom, and star anise with a touch of forest floor. The wine blends 43% Cabernet Franc, 43% Merlot, and 14% Cabernet Sauvignon. 13% ABV. The harvest took place from September 25 - October 5. Drink from 2028-2050."

It has solid ripeness in its red and black fruits, leafy herbs, tobacco, and spicy nuances. It's medium-bodied, has a round, layered mouthfeel, ripe tannins, and outstanding length."

ANSON: "Soft ruby in colour, medium intensity, rose petals on the nose, light, fragrant and delicate, red fruits, wild strawberries, white flowers, really pretty and well handled. 42 hl/ha yield, 30% new oak for ageing. Tasted twice, good quality. Harvest 25 September to 5 October. 30% new oak."

DECANTER: "Fragrant floral scents and red summer berries on the nose. Expressive and open. Generous and friendly, this has a soft chew with lively acidity and salty edges to the tannins. It’s a little compact and tight, but there’s good definition and a great texture that suggests a good structure and potential for the future. Fruit has lovely purity with mouthwatering acidity but it fades quite quickly in favour of the crushed stone, salty, graphite elements. Clarity and precision. Not a blockbuster, missing a touch more density, but it’s elegant and finessed with great extraction! Ageing 30% new oak barrels."

Moderately weighted, chewy and compact, it has a lively mid-palate, brittle tannins and a spicy, licorice-inflected finish."
