Umso mehr, da dieser Wein bereits zuvor mehrere 99 und 100 Punkte Bewertungen erzielte. Mit einem Preis von 124,50 Euro zählt 2022 CHATEAU PONTET CANET zudem als absoluter Wertkauf in diesem Jahrgang, das ist erheblich günstiger als die Zweitweine der Pauillac Premier Crus!
Wir waren persönlich zwei Mal vor Ort und haben gemeinsam mit ALFRED TESSERON verkostet, können Ihnen insofern absolut zum Kauf des 2022 CHATEAU PONTET CANET raten, bei diesem Preis sogar in Magnumflaschen. 2022 CHATEAU PONTET CANET ist ein sehr mineralischer Wein, süße, reife Frucht einerseits, straff, komplex und tief andererseits. Ein beeindruckender Pauillac mit dunklen Kirschen, Brombeeren, Gewürzen, Kräutern und unglaublicher Mineralität und Salzigkeit im Abgang. Sehen Sie sich bitte ausschnittsweise die Bewertungen an. 20 VINUM: "Extrem dicht und vollblütig und reichhaltig und doch so frisch wie ein Frühlingswind und sogar saftig, dank beeindruckend mineralischem Tannin, enorme Länge; grösste Präzision, gepaart mit einmaliger Inspiration."
99 FALSTAFF: "14,7 % Tiefdunkles Rubingranat, opaker Kern, violette Reflexe, zarte Randaufhellung. Feine Nuancen von Herzkirschen und Zwetschken, süßer Cassis ist unterlegt, zarte Edelholznuancen, feine tabakige Nuancen, einladendes Bukett. Komplex, straff, schwarze Waldbeeren, mineralischer Kern, wirkt sehr konzentriert und engmaschig, besitzt eine eindrucksvolle Frische, ohne jede Spur von Opulenz, zeigt große Länge, sicherer Reifepotenzial, feine Kräuterwürze und salzige Nuancen im Nachhall."
99-100 JAMES SUCKLING: "What a finish on this Pontet-Canet. So much energy and brightness. It's full-bodied yet so tight and focused with superb fruit and transparency. It is racy and fine with super fine texture. It's like crushed cabernet sauvignon with cassis, tobacco and cigar box. Licorice and spices. Freshness of the seed. 57% cabernet sauvignon, 35% merlot, 4% cabernet franc, and 4% petit verdot."
97-99+ JEB DUNNUCK: "The 2022 Château Pontet-Canet is brilliant and should easily be up with the crème de la crème from the Médoc. Based on 57% Cabernet Sauvignon, 35% Merlot, and 4% each of Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot, it was vinified mostly in concrete (there's a small part in wood), and the aging is in 50% new French oak, 35% in amphora, and the rest in once-used barrels. It has an incredibly pure bouquet of cassis, graphite, lead pencil, and scorched earth. This carries to a full-bodied Pauillac with a deep, layered mid-palate, building tannins, and a great finish. It has the purity, richness, and structure that makes this vintage so compelling and is going to be drinkable with just 4-6 years of bottle age but have an incredibly long life."

Chalky undertone, coming from the limestone terroir here. 72% cabernet sauvignon, 19% merlot, 6.5% cabernet franc, 1.5% carmenere and 1% petit verdot."

From biodynamically grown grapes with Demeter certification."

JAMES SUCKLING: "This is the most structured Mouton since the great 2016, with tannins that start slowly and then take off. It’s muscular and toned. It’s full-bodied but doesn’t come across too heavy. It builds up in intensity and goes on and on and on. It just keeps expanding. I took a double take here. 93% cabernet sauvignon and 7% merlot."

JAMES SUCKLING: "A lively and fleshy red with a medium body, good structure and velvety tannins. It has vibrant fruit and a bright, lightly chewy finish."

JAMES SUCKLING: "The purity of cabernet sauvignon is so evident here. It mesmerizes you with aromas of black and red currants, cedar, tobacco and bark. It's full-bodied yet there's very impressive weightlessness and agility, as well as subtlety and focus. Some iron and terra-cotta. Cedar and sandalwood undertones. Juicy and plummy at the end. 12.9% alcohol. 3.75 pH. A blend of 60% cabernet sauvignon and 40% merlot."

JAMES SUCKLING: "A savory and juicy Carruades with softness and notes of ripe berry, cedar and dried tobacco. Like Lafite from the 1980s but more precise. Round and pretty. It really grows on the finish with such sweetness of fruit and length. Pointed, fine tannins at the end. Very long. A blend of 60% cabernet sauvignon and 40% merlot."

JAMES SUCKLING: "This is very structured with currant and chocolate character, medium body and an excellent center-palate of fruit and tannins. Juicy at the end."

JAMES SUCKLING: "There is a really pretty, powdery-tannin texture to this, with dark-berry and currant character. Some orange peel, too. It’s full and layered with a sense of precision and focus. Framed and open-grained in the texture. Velvety. Real Pauillac personality here. 70% cabernet sauvignon, 20% merlot and 10% cabernet franc. May be better than 2022."

JAMES SUCKLING: "A very structured Pontet-Canet that expands in the mouth with a gorgeous combination of beautifully ripe fruit and intense tannins. Very structured for the vintage. Full-bodied with excellent presence and length. So much raw pencil shavings to the blackcurrants. Graphite and tar. Fresh and vivid. They picked cabernet at the right time at the end of September. 52% cabernet sauvignon, 39% merlot, 6% cabernet franc and 3% petit verdot."
