Bordeaux Subskription 2022 - must-have Wein zu 46,50 Euro

96 DECANTER: "Round, concentrated, vibrant and dynamic, a lovely burst of intense red and black fruits before quite serious tannins take hold in the mouth. Fine but full, they give the frame and the structure, setting the tone for a serious wine while the fruit and freshnes softly expand giving an aerial element to the finish. A lovely wine with intensity and detail, not the most demonstrative or juicy and appealing right now, but really well made and delivered. Supple, bright, chalky, chewy, this wine has intensity and precision. A little bit serious towards the end, the fruit just losing some focus, where it becomes more about the tannins and freshness but lots to like here with good potential. 1.5% Cabernet Franc. A yield 27hl/ha. HVE3 certified."
95-96 JAMES SUCKLING: "This is very, very fine with wonderfully polished tannins that are silky in texture. It’s medium- to full-bodied with lovely length, lasting a minute or two. Hints of crushed stone and fine sea salt. Finesse with structure. Could move up a notch with the elevage. 53% cabernet sauvignon, 43% merlot, 2.5% petit verdot, and 1.5% cabernet franc."
94-96 THE WINE CELLAR INSIDER: "With a depth of color, the wine pops with nuances of flowers, cherries, cedar, tobacco leaf, black currants, spice, cocoa, and mint tea. Even better on the palate, the concentrated, showy display of spicy, black cherries, blackberries, plums, white pepper, and dark chocolate is perfectly balanced with length, freshness and creamy, silkiness in the finish. The wine is a blend of 53% Cabernet Sauvignon, 43% Merlot, 2.5% Petit Verdot and 1.5% Cabernet Franc. 14.2% ABV pH 3.58. Harvesting took place September 5 - September 29. Drink from 2026-2050."

Jeb Dunnuck: Honeyed peach, minty herbs, and flowers all define the 2025 Château La Mission Haut-Brion Blanc, a brilliant white based on 64.5% Sauvignon Blanc and 35.5% Sémillon that's being raised in 30% new oak, which is slightly less than in past vintages. Medium to full-bodied on the palate, it's incredibly pure and focused, with juicy acidity and a great finish. It's an absolutely stunning wine that pretty much stopped me in my tracks. Drink 2026-2050."

Chateau Chantegrive - Cuvee Caroline 2025
Graves
Decanter: This white Graves opens with soft, inviting aromas of nougat, a touch of herbal tea, and white stone fruit. The palate shows energy and freshness, with bright acidity carrying notes of sweet lime and a subtle saline edge. There is a pleasing richness to the texture, yet it remains poised and never heavy. A beautifully balanced and highly successful white, ageing in 50% new oak."

Chateau Haut Brion blanc 2025

Lisa Perrotti-Brown: The 2025 Haut-Brion Blanc shimmies out with energetic notes of lime cordial, fresh grapefruit, and lemon curd, leading to suggestions of orange blossoms, sea spray, and yuzu zest with a touch of struck flint. The full-bodied palate is so satiny and seductive with electric citrus fruit flavors and minerally accents, finishing very long and fragrant. Magic. The blend is 53% Sauvignon Blanc and 47% Sémillon. The alcohol is 14.55%. It was aged in French oak barrels (45% new). This was tasted as a bottled wine."

Domaine de Chevalier - Esprit de Chevalier Rouge 2025
Graves
The Wine Cellar Insider: Black currants, tobacco, red fruits and smoke hit the spot in the aromatics. Medium-bodied, fresh, and refined, there is a nice vibrancy, coupled with a light touch of chalk in the finish that really works well here. You can enjoy this with pleasure on release while waiting for the Grand Vin to develop. The blend is 65% Cabernet Sauvignon, 30% Merlot, and 5% Petit Verdot. Drink from 2028-2040."

Chateau Pape Clement 2025
Graves
Decanter: Really floral on the nose, expressive with ripe red and black fruit, incense perfumed scents and a rich headiness with such aromatic purity. Supple and velvety, round and lively with quite a delicate style here where the focus is on the clarity of the blueberry fruit and the lifted aspects rather than fleshiness or power. Almost understated, a word not often used with Pape. A soft salty, wet stone and chalky aspect on the finish. Definitely fresh with lots of energy here. Elegant and precise with a soft chew on the finish and ripe fruit. 1% Petit Verdot completes the blend. 3.68pH. A yield of 29hl/ha. Ageing 85% in barrels (1/3 new) and 15% in foudres. Harvest 3-25 September."

Chateau Haura 2025
Graves
Decanter: Coming from gravely soils susceptible to heat stress, I am happy to report smooth tannins, crunchy red fruit and ripe juicy plum aromas and flavours. The palate is warm and enveloping for the vintage, without hard or protruding tannins accentuated by the acidity. The 12 month ageing in one-third new oak will lend breadth to the wine."

Domaine de Chevalier - Esprit de Chevalier Blanc 2025

James Suckling: A powerful second wine with orange peel, apple, pineapple and crush stone character. It's full-bodied and layered, with framing phenolics. Extremely long and complete. A blend of 70% sauvignon blanc and 30% semillon."

Chateau Malartic Lagraviere 2025

James Suckling: The quality of the tannins shows through nicely, with black currants, orange peel, crushed stones and a hint of fresh herbs. A blend of 57.5% cabernet sauvignon, 39% merlot, 3% petit verdot and 0.5% cabernet franc."

Chateau Malartic Lagraviere Blanc 2025

James Suckling: This is so classy, with polish, transparency, a medium body and fresh acidity. Linear and racy, with a bright, icy finish and a steely and lightly bitter character at the end. An outstanding white."
