James Suckling: Precise and focused, with chalky tannins and fine acidity, leading to an almost effervescent, saline finish."

Jane Anson: Moreish, well paced, skilfully constructed, limestone DNA with its slate and chalk that scrapes without being overly intrusive, and the fruits just offer so much juice. Definitely one I would like to have in my cellar, very easy to recommend. 100% new oak barrel, and you barely feel it. 30hl/h yield, harvest September 11 to 18. In organic conversion; 3.5ph. In the family since 1921."

Jeb Dunnuck: A blend of 85% Merlot and 15% Cabernet Franc from vines just across from Ausone, the 2025 Château Moulin Saint-Georges will spend 18 months in new barrels, with the Merlot harvested September 11-12 and the Cabernet Franc September 17-18. It's another pure, focused, elegant wine in the Vauthier lineup, offering cassis and black raspberry fruit on the nose alongside lots of graphite, crushed stone, and violet-driven nuances with beautifully integrated oak. On the palate, it's medium to full-bodied and balanced, with ripe tannins and nicely integrated acidity."

The Wine Cellar Insider: Plums, black cherries, red, with purple flowers, cocoa, and licorice form the fragrant, aromatic profile. On the palate, the wine is medium-bodied, with lift, and energy that shows on the sweet, fresh, juicy palate. The almost bright, red berries in the finish come along with accents of citrus, cocoa, and black raspberries, with a touch of salt that shows up at the backend of the finish. Give it just a year, or two, and enjoy it over the following 2 decades with pleasure. The wine blends 85% percent Merlot, with 15% Cabernet Franc. 13.5% ABV. Drink from 2029-2048."

Decanter: Really fruit forward on the nose with so much red and blue berry aromas - fragrant and super expressive. Supple and succulent, juicy and so lively, really energetic and bright on the mid-palate but not too tart or sharp. Clean and pure, maybe a touch light but there’s no doubting this is fun and elegant at the same time. Fruity, so juicy, succulent and mouthwatering with really fine tannins. Finessed with lots to like here because it all feels so well balanced - on a wire but compelling. A yield of 30hl/ha. 3.5pH. 100% new oak."

Falstaff: Dunkles Rubingranat, violette Reflexe, breitere Randaufhellung. Zarte Kräuterwürze, ein Hauch von Brombeerkonfit, Herzkirschen, einladendes Bukett. Elegant, feiner Säurebogen, frische Waldbeeren, seidige Tannine, kalkige Mineralität, saliner Abgang, gut anhaftend, zart nach Karamell, rotbeeriger Nachhall, vielseitig einsetzbar, ein feiner Speisenbegleiter mit Entwicklungspotenzial."

Lisa Perrotti-Brown: Deep garnet-purple in color, the 2025 Moulin Saint-Georges prances out of the glass with gregarious notes of black raspberries and wild blueberries, giving way to hints of anise, garrigue, and dusty soil. The medium-bodied palate is silky, intense, and defined by an exhilaratingly crisp backbone, finishing long and minerally. The blend is 85% Merlot and 15% Cabernet Franc."
