Chateau Fonroque 2021

Wine Advocate: "Supple and charming, the 2021 Fonroque is a medium to full-bodied, ample and enveloping wine redolent of cherries, blackberries, rose petals and licorice. Fleshy and charming, it's attractively layered, with supple tannins and a persistent finish."

Weinwisser: "Verspieltes rotbeeriges Bouquet, Johannisbeergelee, zarte Fliedernoten und Preiselbeersaft. Am saftigen Gaumen mit weicher Textur, stützender Rasse, reifer Extraktfülle und geradlinigem Körper. Im konzentrierten Finale Waldbeeren, Lavendel und fein sandige Adstringenz. Gut gelungen dieses Jahr!"

Decanter: "Lovely wildflowers and wild berry notes on the nose, smells charming. The fruit is crunchy and alive on the palate, really quite forward and playful, supported by the bright acidity and the tannins, with iodine, blood orange and a salty tang at the end. I like this, the initial taste is just so fun and balanced and the overall texture gives enough weight to see it through to a long finish. It remains focused and quite linear but there's a joy to the tension here. A brilliant wine in 2021 with a clean, precise, cool, fresh finish that lifts rather than dips."

James Suckling: "Crushed-stone, sliced-orange and black-cherry aromas and flavors. Medium body and fine tannins. Fresh finish. From organically grown grapes."

Falstaff: "Kräftiges Rubingranat, violette Reflexe, zarte Randaufhellung. Zart nach frischen Feigen, Himbeerkonfitüre, zart nach Schokolade, einladendes Bukett. Mittlerer Körper, rotbeerig, frisch und lebendig strukturiert, zarte Tannine, salzig-zitronig im Abgang, ein animierender Speisenwein."
