JEB DUNNUCK: "Still aging in new barrels, the 2021 Château Badette (75% Merlot, 20% Cabernet Franc, and 5% Petit Verdot) is one of the bigger, richer wines in the vintage, yet it still plays in the fresher, elegant end of the spectrum. Lots of red and blue fruits, background oak, medium to full-bodied richness, and a ripe, rounded, opulent mouthfeel all define this charming, forward, undeniably delicious 2021. It's going to drink nicely right out of the gate. Harvest here took place on the 8th of October, with healthy yields of 40-hectoliters per hectare, malolactic fermentation occurred in barrels, and it will spend 18 months in oak. Tasted numerous times."
