Decanter: Inviting aromas of ripe red and black fruit with fresh cut grass and hints of mint presage a broad attack and juicy mid palate before the wine finds itself caught in a vise of tannin. While not austere, the tannin is felt, via extractions including a 23-day maceration with daily pump-overs and a fermentation temperature of 28°C. Barrel aging should loosen the grip, but let's wait for how the wine will perform from bottle."

The Wine Cellar Insider: Flowers, chocolate, black cherries, licorice, and a hint of mint fill the perfume. The palate is round, fruity, creamy, and fresh, leaving you with layers of chocolaty plums, cherries, sea-salt, and a tiny bit of refreshing mint in the finish. While this is already quite charming to drink now, a year, or two in the bottle will add even more pleasure. Drink from 2028-2040."

Falstaff: Tiefdunkles Rubingranat, opaker Kern, violette Reflexe, zarte Randaufhellung. Zarter Nougat, reife Zwetschken, eingelegte Kirschen, ein Hauch von Pfirsich. Saftig, etwas weitmaschig, süße Textur, reife Tannine, mittlere Länge, schokoladiger Nachhall."
