Weinwisser: 96 % Merlot, 4 % Cabernet Franc.

The Wine Cellar Insider: Dark garnet in color, the wine shows off its display of red pit fruits, smoke, flowers, forest leaves, spice, and roasted cherries with pride. Rich, powerful, deep, and long, the wine is packed with dark chocolate, black cherries, plums, espresso, licorice, and herbs. There is a vibrancy paired with elegance, concentration, and purity that stand out. There is length, depth, intensity, and complexity that is showcased on the seamless finish. As a matter of style, this reminds of 1998 in its youth. The wine will require some aging before it begins to truly reveal its full potential. The wine is produced from 99.5% Merlot, with .05 Cabernet Franc. Drink from 2032-2065."

Jeb Dunnuck: A brilliant, concentrated wine, the 2025 Château Trotanoy is one of my favorite wines in the appellation and comes from 7.2 hectares of vines on gravel and clay soils sitting atop an iron and clay hardpan. Its deep purple hue is followed by tons of ripe black fruits, crushed stone, graphite, and dark chocolate on the nose. On the palate, it's medium to full-bodied, with a great mid-palate, the building structure that's common with this terroir, and a great finish. It's a brilliant Pomerol that will play with the top wines in the appellation."
