Falstaff: Tiefdunkles Rubingranat, opaker Kern, violette Reflexe, zarte Randaufhellung. Schwarze Kirschen, feine Zwetschkenfrucht, kandierte Orangenzesten, einladendes Bukett. Mittlere Komplexität, rotbeerige Nuancen, feine Tannine, balanciert und gut anhaftend, salziger Abgang, ein vielseitiger Speisenbegleiter."

James Suckling: Refined, balanced and textural, with dark berries and warm spices. Medium-bodied with plush tannins. Well shaped with a vivid and crunchy center palate and a long, flavorful finish."

Decanter: Lovely aromatics on the nose, gorgeous acidity with brightness and focus. Quite a straight, linear style, with softly plump tannins and a chewy ripe strawberry aspect. Almost mineral too on the finish. I like this a lot, calm, friendly, still layered and nuanced but all in balance and harmony. A touch of compaction on the finish reminding you that this will go the distance."

Lisa Perrotti-Brown: Deep garnet-purple colored, the 2025 Tour Maillet slowly unfurls to reveal notes of stewed blackberries and plum preserves, plus suggestions of unsmoked cigars, charcoal, and garrigue. The full-bodied palate delivers a refreshing line and firm, lightly chewy tannins to support the generous black fruit preserves flavors, finishing with a savory lift."

Jane Anson: Smoked vanilla and cocoa bean, this starts off well, good pace and sense of clarity through the palate, the counterbalance of that is the acidity is fairly high which cuts things off at the finish. Harvest September 12 to 13. 40 hl/ha. 50% new oak"

Vinum: Feinduftig, leicht floral, subtile Holznoten, Waldbeeren; eleganter Gaumen, mittlerer Körper, saftig, mit körnigem Gerbstoff und viel Gripp im Abgang; endet salzig. Dürfte früh Spass machen."
