Jane Anson: Deep plum colour, with fennel, anis, mint leaf, fresh fragrant cumin and turmeric, bilberry, black cherry, savoury black fruits, a curling twist of campfire and cold ash, and here the fruit is juicy on the finish. 3.7ph, Pierre Olivier Clouet director. No longer sold En Primeur. 24hl/h yield."

Decanter: Lovely aromatic display of dark flowers and red cherry fruit. Smooth and so bright, crisp and crunchy cranberry and cherry fruit yet ripe and soft too with a bite and tang from the acidity and tannins that softly caress the palate. Still a little tight and grippy on the finish with liquorice, wet stone and cedar spice. It’s both charming and serious and ageing will harmonise the two elements. Delicate yet powerful - a wine to watch. 3.7pH. A yield of 25hl/ha. Ageing 80% foudres and 20% demi-muids. Planted 2.5ha of Cabernet Sauvignon last year, not yet in production."

Falstaff: Tiefdunkles Rubingranat, opaker Kern, violette Reflexe, zarte Randaufhellung.

The Wine Cellar Insider: Flowers, licorice, plums, black cherries, and just a hint of chocolate form the nose. The medium-bodied palate is soft, lifted, juicy, and sweet. Lighter than several previous vintages, but, not lacking in fruit, everything feels fresh, in balance, and easy to drink due to its chocolate-coated cherries, and touch of chalk that comes in at the backend of the finish. The wine blends 62% Merlot, 19% Cabernet Sauvignon, and 19% Cabernet Franc. 13% ABV. The wine is aged in a combination of foudres and demi-muids. Drink from 2029-2045."

Wine Advocate: The 2025 Quinault l'Enclos has turned out very well for such a warm vintage, offering up aromas of cherries, sweet berries and petals, followed by a medium-bdoied, ample and polished palate that's pure and charming. It's a blend of 19% Cabernet Sauvignon, 19% Cabernet Franc and the balance Merlot, with the entire production now maturing in foudre and 500-liter barrels."
