Vinum: Himbeeren, Granatapfel, etwas Milchschokolade; zugänglicher Gaumen, rund, mit cremiger Textur und reifer Frucht, samtenes Tannin, stimmige Säure, in sich ausgewogen und mit sehr guter Länge. Einmal mehr ein sehr gelungener Wein, der früh Pomerol-Spass bieten wird."

Decanter: Strong aromatics on the nose, perfumed blackcurrants and cherries. Chewy and fleshy with plenty of tannic strength alongside a cool blueberry aspect. There’s juiciness but it’s taken over at this point by the structure and quite hefty tannins with a dusting of cocoa powder, liquorice and cigar. This will settle in time. A little heavy if anything."

Lisa Perrotti-Brown: Deep garnet-purple colored, the 2025 Montviel bursts with bold notes of baked black cherries and plum preserves, plus touches of sandalwood, dried roses, and dusty soil. Full-bodied, the palate is laden with stewed black fruit and spicy accents, supported by plush tannins and just enough freshness, finishing on an earthy note."
