Jeb Dunnuck: A Cabernet-dominant blend of 75% Cabernet Sauvignon, 20% Merlot, and 5% Petit Verdot that's being raised in 40% new barriques with the balance in once-used barrels, the 2025 Château Monbrison is a beautiful Margaux offering ample red, blue, and black fruits, spicy wood, and floral aromatics. Medium to full-bodied on the palate, it's nicely balanced, has ripe tannins, and integrated acidity. Checking in at 13.5% alcohol with a pH of 3.5, it's a terrific 2025 that does everything right."

Falstaff: Tiefdunkles Rubingranat, opaker Kern, violette Reflexe, zarte Randaufhellung.

Jane Anson: Bright blue and red fruits, attractive floral aromatics, plenty of energy but struggles to maintain the momentum over the palate."

Decanter: Floral notes with bright red berry fruit aromas. Juicy but very tannic - not dry but there’s a lot of oak on the palate with a toasted, vanilla and salted caramel aspect that lingers. Feels a little old school, but there is some juice underneath it all. Some austerity here."
