Jeb Dunnuck: All Merlot brought up mostly in new barrels, the 2025 Château La Fleur De Boüard Le Plus is another elegant expression of this cuvée (I sometime miss the opulence of older vintages here). Black raspberries, graphite, violets, classy oak, and a beautiful chalky minerality all define the nose, and it's medium to full-bodied on the palate, with a pure, focused mouthfeel and fine tannins. It shows the style of the vintage beautifully."

The Wine Cellar Insider: Deeply colored, the wine pops with its layers of sweet, ripe, fresh, fruits. The palate delivers a vibrancy to all of its lifted, clean, sweet, and elegant fruits. Due to a reduction in the percentage of new oak used to age the wines, now, you are able to enjoy more of the essence of the berries, giving you ample plums, cherries, licorice, and chocolate from start to finish. Give it just a year or two of bottle aging, and this will be even better. The wine is produced from 100% old vine Merlot. Drink from 2029-2050."

Jane Anson: Intense damson colour, rich cocoa bean and cappuccino, gentle grilled cumin and sandalwood note, with silky texture through the palate, this is good quality, if a little overly concentrated through the finish, but as you give it time to relax an enjoyable cassis pastille flavour arrives - the three wines are impressive in the vintage, well worked."

Decanter: Dark cherries, bramble, raspberries and forest floor - an intriguing and complex nose. Concentrated and powerful on the palate, the wine shows good substance, being extracted but not overdone. Tannins are chalky but elegant and ripe. This Merlot demonstrates significant length and depth, with a savoury cassis finish."

James Suckling: A well-built, lush and creamy red with dark berries and sweet spice aromas. Full-bodied with chewy tannins. Fruit-driven with a focused finish."
