Jeb Dunnuck: A Merlot-dominant blend of 80% Merlot and 20% Cabernet Franc that will spend 15 months in 50% new barrels and amphora, the 2025 Château Le Bon Pasteur offers cassis, exotic cherries, baking spices, and dried flowers on the nose. Medium to full-bodied on the palate, it has a pure, layered, graceful mouthfeel, ultra-fine tannins, and a great finish. Hitting 14% alcohol, it's beautifully balanced, textured, and graceful, with an already complex, undeniably delicious, sexy style that's impossible to resist. It's one of the top vintages for this château."

Decanter: Juicy and alive, crunchy, creamy and chewy at the same time with plenty of push from start to finish and a lovely cooling undertone. Tannins are firm with a grip and hold but this has energy and character. Plump, friendly, fun and alive. A really nice showing for this wine. Yield of 30hl/ha. Ageing 15 months in French oak barrels, 50% new."

James Suckling: Perfumed already, with a velvety and chewy palate of dark berries and dark chocolate and a medium-bodied finish. Muscular for the vintage in Pomerol."

The Wine Cellar Insider: Chocolate-covered cherries, licorice, flowers, espresso, and plums fill the aromatic profile. The palate is silky, creamy, and vibrant. The fruits are fresh and juicy, leaving a long trail of plums, cocoa, black cherries, a touch of salt, espresso, and licorice in the finish. Drink from 2028-2050."

Lisa Perrotti-Brown: Deep garnet-purple colored, the 2025 Le Bon Pasteur starts off a touch reduced, opening out to reveal evocative notes of plum pudding and raspberry pie, plus nuances of cinnamon stick, garrigue, and tar. Full-bodied, the palate delivers a firm frame of lightly chewy tannins and plenty of freshness, finishing long and spicy."
