Jeb Dunnuck: Checking in as a blend of 53% Merlot, 21% Cabernet Sauvignon, 18% Cabernet Franc, and 8% Petit Verdot that's being raised 12 months in 38% new French oak, the 2025 Château Larrivaux offers up beautiful notes of cassis, ripe red fruits, spring flowers, graphite, and tobacco. Medium-bodied on the palate, it has a pure, graceful mouthfeel and ultra-fine tannins, with a gorgeous finish. I'd put this up with the finest vintages here."

Jane Anson: Enjoyable, brambled fruits, this is a lovely wine with real depth of cassis and blackberry, liquorice, cocoa bean, cigar box. Seriously enjoyable, carefully judging the freshness of the vintage. Basile and Berangère Tesseron owners. 38 hl/ha yield, harvest September 13 to 18. Eric Boissenot consultant, first year vinified in new vat room with about 70% cement vats and 30% stainless steel, with a rise in Cabernet Franc in the blend."

Lisa Perrotti-Brown: Deep garnet-purple colored, the 2025 Larrivaux strolls out of the glass with forthcoming notes of fresh black plums and red currants, giving way to suggestions of dried herbs, wet slate, and tree moss. The medium-bodied palate delivers a crisp line and fine-grained tannins with intense black and red fruit flavors and a minerally finish. The blend is 53% Merlot, 21% Cabernet Sauvignon, 8% Petit Verdot, and 18% Cabernet Franc. The alcohol is 14%."
