Decanter: Ripe and fragrant fruit on the nose. Juicy and crisp, this has a really crunchy, cool fresh core of bright strawberry and blueberry with a touch of creaminess. Tangy, bright, lively - more sinewy than muscular but this really works. Clean and straight with plenty of energy and focus and touches of liquorice and tobacco on the finish. 2% Petit Verdot completes the blend."

Falstaff: Tiefdunkles Rubingranat, opaker Kern, violette Reflexe, zarte Randaufhellung.

The Wine Cellar Insider: Medium-bodied, soft, fresh, fruity, and most importantly, vibrant, the supple-textured black cherries, raspberries, with their spicy, minty, nuances are refined, elegant, and upbeat. Drink from 2029-2050."

James Suckling: Medium- to full-bodied with expressive dark and red fruit complemented by precise, chalky, incisive tannins that persist through the finish."

Jane Anson: Juicy, crunchy redcurrant and raspberry fruit, blood orange, liquorice, good grip, smoky oak on the finish. Harvest September 11 to 23, Meslin family. No longer organic certified but work that way."

Jeb Dunnuck: A serious, concentrated Saint-Emilion Grand Cru, the 2025 Château Laroze is based on 60% Merlot, 30% Cabernet Franc, 8% Cabernet Sauvignon, and 2% Petit Verdot being raised in a mix of barrels, foudre, terracotta jars, and cement tanks. Its dense purple hue is followed by concentrated aromatics of black raspberries, graphite, and liquid violets. Medium-bodied on the palate, it has beautiful density, ripe tannins, and integrated acidity, checking in at 14% alcohol. It's a solid, serious effort."

Jancis Robinson: Deep purplish crimson. Fragrant with both black and dark-red fruit. Terrific freshness with deep, smooth, chocolate-like tannins. It has a dark and savoury side, too, with great purity and harmony for such a young wine."

Lisa Perrotti-Brown: Deep garnet-purple colored, the 2025 Laroze hops from the glass with spritely notes of black raspberries and stewed red cherries, followed by hints of sautéed herbs, lavender, and wet rocks. The medium- to full-bodied palate is dense with herb-laced black fruit preserves flavors, framed by chewy tannins and a lively line, finishing a little firm."
