Falstaff: Tiefdunkles Rubingranat, opaker Kern, violette Reflexe, zarte Randaufhellung. Zart nach Veilchen und Gewürznelken, schwarze Herzkirschen, etwas Cassis und Lakritze, facettenreiches, einladendes Bukett. Saftig, reife Kirschen, zarte Extraktsüße, runde Tannine, gute Frische, bleibt haften, bereits harmonisch, zeigt gutes Reifepotenzial."

Jeb Dunnuck: A Merlot-heavy blend of 73% Merlot and 27% Cabernet Franc that's being raised in 50% new barrels, the 2025 Château La Serre has gorgeous aromatics of black raspberry, cassis, spring flowers, and tons of chalky minerality. It's medium to full-bodied on the palate, with classy integrated oak, ripe yet building tannins, and integrated acidity. It's a beautiful wine from this team that is well worth seeking out."

James Suckling: Textural and inspired, with red berry and warm spice aromas. Medium-bodied with fine tannins. Ripe but in control, with a creamy center palate and a vivid and peppery finish. Nice fruit. 73% merlot and 27% cabernet franc."

Jane Anson: Measured and skillfully handed grip and tension, with expansion through the mid palate - an elusive quality on limestone in this vintage. Juicy and finessed, with a great whack of pumice stone, and as it opens there is a mint freshness and lift that is totally delicious. A limestone junkie's wine however, be warned! Harvest September 5 to 19. 50% new oak."

The Wine Cellar Insider: Quite floral on the nose, you also find raspberries, licorice, and plums. On the palate, the wine is medium-bodied, bright, sweet, fresh, and silky, with black cherries, plums, herbs, and a hint of chocolate to round things out. This promises to be delicious on release and for 12-15 years after that. Drink from 2028-2045."

Wine Advocate: Bursting with aromas of sweet blackberries, cherries, mint and rose petals, the 2025 La Serre is medium- to full-bodied, supple and lively, with a fleshy core of fruit, powdery tannins and a mineral finish."

Decanter: Fragrant blackberries with violets and a dusting of cocoa powder form the aromatics. Cool and fresh from the off - blueberries and black cherries - this has a supple texture with lovely bouncy tannins and a cool, crisp vein running through the middle. Salty, wet stones, graphite and flint come in on the finish giving a grip and mineral hold that lingers alongside liquorice and clove."
