Lisa Perrotti-Brown: Deep garnet-purple in color, the 2025 La Pointe prances out of the glass with fragrant notes of violets and fertile loam, opening out to a core of juicy blueberries, black raspberries, and fresh black plums, plus a waft of licorice. The medium- to full-bodied palate delivers mouth-coating, bright blue, black, and red berry layers, framed by firm, grainy tannins and great tension, finishing long and perfumed. The blend is 88% Merlot and 12% Cabernet Franc. The alcohol is 14% and the pH is 3.57."

Decanter: Vivid, vibrant purple colour in the glass. Gorgeously pure aromas, roses and sweet red cherries. Fragrant and appealing. Blackcurrant and cedar aromas with dried flowers too. Crisp and clean, juicy and so succulent. Lovely friendly chewy ripe strawberry and raspberry fruit with fine but present tannins and a long crushed stone and cool blue fruit finish - ultra refreshing. Concentrated and intensely fruited yet no heaviness. Has a real edge of refinement with a juicy core. Plenty to like here, and super accessible."

The Wine Cellar Insider: Elegant, creamy, soft, and supple, with layers of ripe, vibrant, cherries, and plums, this is already quite charming in your glass. The medium-bodied palate continues along the same line with its focus on its soft, ripe, fruits, spice, and plummy, chocolatey finish. Drink from 2029-2050."

Jeb Dunnuck: A charming, medium to full-bodied Pomerol from an estate located between Trotanoy and Nénin, the 2025 Château La Pointe is based on 90% Merlot and 10% Cabernet Franc. Black cherries, blackberry, graphite, and spicy, dried herb nuances all define the nose, and on the palate, it has ripe, polished tannins, nice overall balance, and a great finish."
