The Wine Cellar Insider: Plums, chocolate, licorice, and a minor background note of espresso pop in the nose. Medium-bodied, lush, round, fleshy, and vibrant, the palate and finish are packed with sweet, black cherries, a hint of spice, licorice, herbs, and a refreshing note of mint. You can enjoy this with ease upon release and for over a decade or more afterward. The wine blends 96% Merlot, with 4% Cabernet Franc. 13.5% ABV. Drink from 2028-2042."

Decanter: Ripe and fragrant red berries on the nose. Relatively tight and coiled right now with powdery, chalky tannins that fill the mouth. A little tough, liquorice, dark chocolate and some oak aspects - cedar, tobacco and clove spice. Could do with a bit more fruit and acidity, but there is purity. Knitted down. Acidity is there and it’s cool rather than sunny, but the tannins are at the fore right now."
