Bravo!"

Falstaff: Tiefdunkles Rubingranat, opaker Kern, violette Reflexe, zarte Randaufhellung.

Lisa Perrotti-Brown: Deep garnet-purple colored, the 2025 Vray Croix de Gay bursts with bold notes of stewed black plums and black cherry preserves, followed by hints of Indian spices, candied violets, and black licorice. The medium-bodied palate delivers stewed black fruit layers with a light chewiness to the texture and well-knit acidity, finishing long and spicy. The blend is 82% Merlot and 18% Cabernet Franc. It has a pH of 3.8 and the alcohol is 13.6%. It is aging for 18 months in oak barriques, 80% new."

James Suckling: A well-built, textured and chocolaty red. Medium-bodied with fine, firm tannins. Driven and structured, with a fruity finish of dark chocolate."

Decanter: Ripe aromatics, softly chewy and supple, this has a really nice soft blackcurrant and creamy cherry fruit aspect with well integrated tannins. Almost a bit light for Pomerol, but there’s refinement and a sense of lighthandedness. I quite like this fun, not too serious or overly complex, style but still with freshness and nuance. This will add some flesh and fat over ageing."

Jeb Dunnuck: A solid, supple Pomerol, the 2025 Château La Croix De Gay is based on 86.5% Merlot and 13.5% Cabernet Franc that's being raised in 35% new barrels. It offers ripe black cherries, red plums, spicy herbs, and dried flowers on the nose. Medium to full-bodied on the palate, it's round and textured, with soft tannins, a layered, balanced mouthfeel, and outstanding length. It checks in at 13.67% alcohol with a pH of 3.76."
