Jeb Dunnuck: Checking in as a blend of 70% Merlot, 20% Cabernet Franc, and 10% Cabernet Sauvignon that's resting in 40% new barrels, including 500-liter barriques, with the balance in once-used barrels, the 2025 Château La Couspaude offers darker red and blue fruits, leafy herbs, and damp earth on the nose. Medium to full-bodied on the palate, it's ripe and round, with beautifully integrated tannins and acidity, the purity and vibrancy of the vintage, and a great finish."

Lisa Perrotti-Brown: Deep garnet-purple colored, the 2025 La Couspaude charges out with bold notes of blackberry preserves, ripe black cherries, and fresh blueberries, followed by hints of sassafras and Sichuan pepper. Medium- to full-bodied, the palate is rich and spicy in the mouth with great tension and velvety tannins, finishing opulent. The blend is 70% Merlot, 10% Cabernet Sauvignon, and 20% Cabernet Franc."
