Decanter: Quite bright aromatics with wild hedgerow aromas - bilberry, cranberry, blackcurrant leaf, liquorice and tobacco. Grippy but also full of life and mouthwatering acidity, this has really great energy. Still a little compact no doubt, the tannins really making their mark, but there’s fruit purity and clarity with a long, still quite intense and concentrated finish. No lightness here at all. Elegant and finessed yet still such a powerful wine. Will be interesting to follow this over ageing. All wines organic, second vintage certified. A yield of 25hl/ha. Ageing 50% new oak."

Falstaff: Tiefdunkles Rubingranat, opaker Kern, violette Reflexe, dezente Randaufhellung. Reife Beerenfrucht, Zwetschken, Orangenzesten und Nougat. Stoffig, süße Materie, kraftvolle Tannine, etwas adstringent, dezent überextrahierter Stil."

Jane Anson: Enticing vivid plum colour, gunsmoke reduction on the nose, this has dried fruits and freshly cut herbs, struggles in a little in the heat of the vintage. Yield 25 hl/ha. 45% new oak"

Jeb Dunnuck: Juicy black cherries, red plums, spicy wood, and dried flowers all define the 2025 Château La Cabanne, a nicely balanced and concentrated Pomerol. On the palate, it has a firmer mouthfeel, integrated oak, and a good finish."
