James Suckling: Medium- to full-bodied with a broad expression. Focused, cohesive and well balanced, with precise tannins."

Jeb Dunnuck: Deep purple-hued, the 2025 Château Haut-Brisson is based on 90% Merlot and 10% Cabernet Franc that's being raised 14 to 16 months in 35% new French oak. Inky blue fruits, blueberries, liquid violets, and graphite all define the nose, and it's medium to full-bodied and concentrated on the palate, with ripe tannins and plenty of structure. It's a serious wine that's going to need some time, but I suspect it will be worth the wait."

Falstaff: Dunkles Rubingranat, opaker Kern, violette Reflexe, zarte Randaufhellung. Reife Pflaumen, Brombeerkonfit, kandierte Orangenzesten, feine Kräuterwürze, einladendes Bukett. Saftig, elegant, rotbeerige Textur, feine Tannine, gute Frische, bleibt haften, ein facettenreicher Speisenbegleiter."

Jane Anson: Intense and concentrated, clear tannic frame with lovely juice underneath. Cocoa bean, espresso, saffron, pumice stone, very enjoyable, bright and slow unroll, will benefit from softening over ageing, full of energy. Harvest September 3 to 17. 35% new oak. 26 hl/ha yield. 3.5 pH."

Lisa Perrotti-Brown: Deep garnet-purple colored, the 2025 Haut-Brisson bursts with flamboyant notes of stewed black plums and boysenberry preserves, plus suggestions of forest floor, licorice, and tar. The medium- to full-bodied palate is plush and refreshing with bags of black fruit flavors and an earthy finish. The blend is 90% Merlot and 10% Cabernet Franc. The alcohol is 14%."

The Wine Cellar Insider: Flowers, herbs, licorice, mint, espresso, and cherries create the nose. The palate is medium-bodied, soft, and polished. The fruits are ripe, sweet, polished, and juicy, with a fruity, creamy, lifted finish. The wine blends 90% Merlot with 10% Cabernet Franc,14% ABV. Drink from 2028-2042."

Wine Advocate: The 2025 Haut-Brisson, a blend of 90% Merlot and 10% Cabernet Franc, was vinified in barrels, with malolactic fermentation also carried out in barrel for the corresponding batches. It reveals aromas of dark berries, cassis and blackberry, with a hint of mocha emerging with aeration. Medium- to full-bodied, dense and powerful, it’s enveloping on the palate and built around a firm, structuring tannic frame that carries through to the finish."
