Falstaff: Tiefdunkles Rubingranat, opaker Kern, violette Reflexe, zarte Randaufhellung. Zartes Edelholz, etwas Vanille, Cassis und Brombeeren unterlegt, einladendes Bukett. Saftig, frische Beerenfrucht, zart nach Holundersaft, feine Tannine, salzig, lebendig, vielseitig einsetzbar."

Lisa Perrotti-Brown: Deep garnet-purple colored, the 2025 Fourcas Dupré needs a swirl or two before it skips out with vibrant notes of black raspberries and blueberries, plus suggestions of bay leaves, pencil lead, and underbrush. The medium-bodied palate is bright and breezy with approachable tannins, great tension, and great length. Yum! The blend is 26% Merlot and 74% Cabernet Sauvignon. The alcohol is 13.5%."

James Suckling: Granular tannins with currant, earth and dark chocolate flavors. It’s solid in the mid-palate and shows plenty of fruit and chewy phenolics at the end. It has potential and structure."

Jane Anson: Intense, balanced, good quality, strict and austere, cassis, bilberry, tightly wound with some dried fruit and herb character but plenty of character and will soften over ageing. Tasted twice, 35hl/h yield."

Jeb Dunnuck: A solid, nicely balanced Listrac, the 2025 Château Fourcas Dupré reveals cassis, graphite, spring flowers, and minty herbs on the nose. Based on 74% Cabernet Sauvignon and 26% Merlot that's being raised in 30% new 300-litre barrels with the balance in concrete tanks and amphora, it's medium-bodied on the palate, with firm tannins and outstanding length. Checking in at 13.5% alcohol with a pH of 3.42, I tasted this twice, and it could be a real hidden gem of a wine."

Decanter: Initially juicy and succulent, quite a streamlined style with lots of dried herbal elements and stony minerality that really gives a grippy, chalky, slate, flint and lingering saltiness to the palate."

The Wine Cellar Insider: Mint, tobacco, and red fruits get the wine started in the nose, before you encounter the crisp,, quite bright, red currants, licorice, smoke, espresso, and spice. Give it a year or two in the bottle to soften before pulling a cork. The wine blends 74% Cabernet Sauvignon with 26% Merlot. Drink from 2029-2042."
