James Suckling: Well composed, balanced and tactile, with aromas of forest berries and violets. Medium-bodied with fine tannins and fresh acidity. Driven and succulent, with a racy finish of length."

Lisa Perrotti-Brown: Deep garnet-purple colored, the 2025 de la Huste zips out with vibrant notes of red cherries and juicy raspberries, giving way to nuances of rose bud tea, fragrant soil, and wet slate. The medium-bodied palate is bright and energetic with intense red fruit layers and a soft texture, finishing with great tension. The blend is 90% Merlot and 10% Cabernet Franc. The alcohol is 13.5%."

Jeb Dunnuck: Beautiful red fruits, flowers, spice, and graphite all define the 2025 Château De La Huste, a blend of 90% Merlot and 10% Cabernet Franc resting in 40% new barrels. Coming from healthy yields of 40 hectoliters per hectare, it's medium-bodied on the palate, has a beautiful sense of elegance, fine tannins, and integrated tannins. It would make one hell of a house red."

Falstaff: Kräftiges Rubingranat, violette Reflexe, breitere Randaufhellung. Rote Waldbeeren, Kirschen, zart floral unterlegte Kräuterwürze. Schlank, rotbeerig, frisch strukturiert, integrierte Tannine, Nuancen von Zwetschken im Abgang, bereits gut entwickelt."

The Wine Cellar Insider: Medium-bodied, bright, fresh, and fruity, the palate is on the red fruit side of the style range with cherries, raspberries, and strawberries, paired with licorice and cocoa at its core. You can enjoy this on release. The wine blends 90% Merlot, with 10% Cabernet Franc. Drink from 2028-2038."
