Lisa Perrotti-Brown: Deep garnet-purple colored, the 2025 Dassault leaps with bold notes of black cherry compote and blueberry pie, giving way to hints of candied violets, licorice, and fertile loam. The medium- to full-bodied palate is dense with intense black fruit and savory layers, framed by firm, grainy tannins and a refreshing line, finishing on a lingering anise note."

James Suckling: Focused, well built and chalky, with crunchy berry character and some floral influence. Medium-bodied with fine, firm tannins."

Jane Anson: Bright plum purple, bright and vivid colours as with so many of these wines. Luscious and bright fruits, good quality, a ton of oak but this has a ton of silky tannins and this is supercharged but with plenty of intention behind the palate. Yield 29 hl/ha."

Wine Advocate: Exhibiting aromas of cherries, blackberries and asphalt, the 2025 Dassault is medium- to full-bodied, rich and fleshy, with good mid-palate density and sweet tannins that assert themselves on the youthfully structured finish. It's a blend of 78% Merlot, 17% Cabernet Franc and 5% Cabernet Sauvignon."

Decanter: Ripe and floral aromatics on the nose, smells expressive. Juicy and lively, a really plump but still fresh expression with finely mineral. Salty edges to the tannins. Ends chalky and stony. I do really like this, I feel it’s missing a touch more fruitiness but it’s elegant and refined and will be very easy to enjoy. Juicy strawberry fruit with dried herbs. Good quality."

The Wine Cellar Insider: Flowers, licorice, cherries, and plums work well here in the nose and on the palate. Medium-bodied, elegant, fresh, and with layers of sweet, vibrant red, with black fruits, and a blast of refreshing mint that comes in at the end of the finish. This represents a new era for Dassault. This is going to be a pleasure to enjoy just about the moment of release. The wine blends 78% Merlot, 17% Cabernet Franc, and 5% Cabernet Sauvignon. Drink from 2028-2047."

Jeb Dunnuck: A Merlot-heavy blend of 67% Merlot, 25% Cabernet Franc, and 8% Cabernet Sauvignon that's being raised in a mix of 56% new barriques, foudres, one-year-old barrels, and amphora, the 2025 Château Dassault is a very pretty, elegant example from this château. Red and blue fruits, crushed stone, and violet and floral nuances all define the nose, and it's medium-bodied on the palate, with a pure, polished mouthfeel, fine tannins, and outstanding length. It checks in at 13.5% alcohol with a pH of 3.66, and this is clearly one of the more precise, elegant examples of this estate I can remember."
