James Suckling: Attractive green melons and apples with some sliced lemon follow through to a medium body with hints of crushed salt and stone. Lime at the end."

Jeb Dunnuck: A Cabernet-dominant blend of 60% Cabernet Sauvignon, 39% Merlot, and 1% Cabernet Franc that's being raised in 25% new French oak, the 2025 Clos Marsalette sports a deep purple hue as well as a pretty nose of juicy black cherry and almost blue fruits with liquid violets, graphite, and leafy herbs. Checking in at 13.5% alcohol with a pH of 3.65 and yields of 20 hectoliters per hectare, it's medium-bodied on the palate, with a pure, focused mouthfeel, fine tannins, and nicely integrated acidity. It's a beautiful wine."

Falstaff: Tiefdunkles Rubingranat, opaker Kern, violette Reflexe, zarte Randaufhellung. Kandierte Veilchen, schwarzes Waldbeerkonfit, reife Kirschen, einladendes Bukett. Saftig, zartes Erdbeerkonfit, reife Zwetschken, feine Tannine, mineralisch-salzig im Abgang, animierender, gut anhaftender Stil."

Lisa Perrotti-Brown: Deep garnet-purple in color, the 2025 Rouge pops from the glass with lively notes of crushed black currants and fresh black plums, giving way to hints of pencil lead, bay leaves, and tilled loam. The medium-bodied palate is spritely and refreshing with fine-grained tannins and bright black berry layers, finishing with a real skip in its step. The blend is 39% Merlot, 1% Cabernet Franc, and 60% Cabernet Sauvignon. The alcohol is 13.5%. This is aging in French oak barrels, 25% new"

The Wine Cellar Insider: Elegantly-styled, the wine is medium-bodied, forward fresh, and fruity, with a lean to the dark, berry, and pit fruit side of the style range. The wine delivers accents of tobacco, herbs, spice, and chalk that accompany all of its round-textured charms. The wine will be open and accessible on release and will deliver pleasure for 12-15 years after that. The wine blends 60% Cabernet Sauvignon, 39% Merlot, and 1% Cabernet Franc. 13.5% ABV. Drink from 2028-2045."

Decanter: A more classic, restrained expression with less overtly expressive fruit than some peers. The aromatics hint at dark berries and meadow like freshness with floral notes, but remain somewhat muted. The palate is composed and balanced, with somewhat tight tannins. I could have used a bit more generosity and charm, but a solid, traditionally styled wine that should broaden with barrel ageing."
