Jeb Dunnuck: Deep purple-hued, the 2025 Clos L'Eglise is a beast of a Pomerol with a powerful nose of ripe black fruits, liquid violets, gravelly earth, and chocolate. On the palate, it brings remarkable power, full-bodied richness, ripe, building, nicely integrated tannins, a dense, stacked mid-palate, and a great finish. It's a bomb of a Pomerol that's going to need some time."

The Wine Cellar Insider: Deeply colored, with chocolate-covered plums, flowers, forest floor, leafy greenery, and spice box aromatics that are quite expressive in the aromatic profile. The palate is even better, with a vivid display of ripe, sweet, juicy dark fruits. Elegant, concentrated, silky, and deep, the wine has ample lift, so you taste and feel the freshness and purity in the fruit. The extensive finish displays chocolaty plums, licorice, and spice from beginning to end. The blend is 70% Merlot with 30% Cabernet Franc, 14.5% ABV, 3.6 pH. Yields were low at 19 hectoliters per hectare. Harvesting took place September 8 - September 18. Drink from 2030-2060."
