Decanter: Bright and expressive nose, full of perfumed roses, smells gorgeous. Round and filling, chewy tannins give a really lively and massy expression but with cool liquorice, wet stone and slate aspects around the side. It’s calm, certainly not as acidic and lively as some, but I love the confidence and completeness of this wine. Yummy and just really moreish. Excellent structure and extraction without being too much."

Lisa Perrotti-Brown: Deep garnet-purple colored, the 2025 Clos des Jacobins needs a lot of shaking and swirling to wake up notes of fresh blackberries, cedar, and crushed rocks, leading to fragrant, underlying hints of raspberries and garrigue. Medium- to full-bodied, the palate is chock-full of black and red berry flavors with a firm, lightly chewy texture and a lively line, finishing long and minerally."

The Wine Cellar Insider: While the bouquet of flowers is what you initially notice in the perfume, you also find, cocoa, black cherries, licorice, and plums. Medium-bodied, elegant, fresh, sweet, and fruity, the finish continues along the same vein with is plummy, chocolate oriented finish. Drink from 2029-2050."

Jeb Dunnuck: A ripe, dense, powerful Saint-Emilion, the 2025 Clos Des Jacobins reveals blackberry, darker cherries, graphite, and chocolaty herb notes on the nose. It's medium to full-bodied on the palate, with ripe tannins, ample mid-palate depth, and a great finish."
