James Suckling: A fine and fresh red with blackberries, graphite and a hint of orange peel. It’s medium-bodied and refined with a fine texture tannins and a crisp finish."

Wine Advocate: The 2025 Citran, a blend of 47% Merlot, 33% Cabernet Sauvignon, 12% Cabernet Franc and 8% Petit Verdot, reveals a complex, fresh bouquet of licorice, cassis and gentian, mingled with floral notes. Medium- to full-bodied, juicy, suave and elegant, it’s built around a fleshy core of dark fruit, concluding with a long, spicy finish that remains slightly austere at this stage. Nonetheless, this is a strong effort and likely among the estate’s best in recent years."

Jeb Dunnuck: Ripe currants, smoky oak, graphite, and tobacco notes all define the 2025 Château Citran, a blend of 47% Merlot, 33% Cabernet Sauvignon, 12% Cabernet Franc, and 8% Petit Verdot. On the palate, it's medium-bodied and nicely concentrated, with ripe tannins, integrated acidity, and a great finish. It's one hell of an impressive Haut-Médoc that I'd be happy to own a case of."

Falstaff: Tiefdunkles Rubingranat, opaker Kern, violette Reflexe, zarte Randaufhellung.

Lisa Perrotti-Brown: Deep garnet-purple colored, the 2025 Citran flies out of the glass with vibrant notes of fresh raspberries and red currants, followed by hints of tar, damp soil, and pencil lead. The medium-bodied palate delivers a firm backbone of grainy tannins with seamless freshness and an earthy finish."

The Wine Cellar Insider: lowers, tobacco, mint, and currants are at the core of the wine. Medium-bodied and fresh, with a peppery edge to the fruit on the palate, the currants are crisp, and a refreshing spearmint note brings everything together. The wine blends 47% Merlot, 33% Cabernet Sauvignon, 12% Cabernet Franc, and 8% Petit Verdot. Drink from 2030-2047."
