James Suckling: Lots of salty, limestone character with aromas of lovely dark fruit and a hint of fresh herbs giving an almost rose-stem undertone. Medium-bodied with fine and polished tannins and a savory finish. I’ve never before tasted so much salinity, and in a very good way."

Decanter: Fragrant blue fruit aromas on the nose, smells pure with clarity to the expression. Juicy and tangy, the acidity at the fore with really excellent energy and lift. Clean, streamlined, relatively straight but not at all austere or tart, this has a softness that is so appealing. I really enjoy this, mouthwatering, grippy, fun and friendly. A lovely profile with a clear limestone grip that is so terror specific. Cool and crisp with plenty of underlying power still. Great energy - maybe just a little lean and taut right now."

Jane Anson: Medium intensity deep ruby, a ton of bright juicy crunchy fruit, smoky reduction, with sleek architecture and a ton of depth. 40hl/ha yield, as with the main estate wine. August 28 harvest, earliest ever."

Lisa Perrotti-Brown: Deep garnet-purple in color, the 2025 Croix Canon comes barreling out with bold notes of fresh blackberries and black cherries, giving way to hints of charcoal, dusty soil, bay leaves, and tapenade with a touch of cloves. Medium- to full-bodied, the palate is nicely balanced with plush tannins and a crisp backbone defining the bright black fruit layers, finishing long and earthy. The blend is 79% Merlot and 21% Cabernet Franc. The alcohol is 14% with a pH of 3.5. It will age 16-18 months mainly in French oak, 24% new, with 30% foudres and 15% concrete."
