Jeb Dunnuck: A serious little gem from clay and limestone soils, the 2025 Château Bellevue is 100% Merlot and sports a deep purple hue as well as gorgeous aromatics of cassis, juicy black cherries, graphite, and roasted herbs. On the palate, it's rich and medium to full-bodied, with remarkable purity and fine tannins. This is the kind of wine savvy readers should be snatching up, and it's going to challenge some of the top wines in the appellation."

Jane Anson: Rose petals and iris flowers, love the bright and crisp pumice stone texture set against ripe raspberry puree, moreish and easy to recommend, harnesses the limestone character of the soils to deliver sapidity and energy, 33hl/ha yields. 3ha estate on the limestone plateau, 3.47ph, harvest September 5 to 13, 35% new oak barrels, 10% whole bunches in this also. Decanter: Bright and focused, crisp but also quite tannic with some wood at the fore. A little tense and tight right now not really revealing too much or being too charming but there is great focus, energy and detail with a muscular frame underpinned by cool creaminess. Great potential for this wine. 3.55pH. Ageing 14 months, 30% new barrels, 43% one year, 20% foudre, 7% amphora."
