THE WINE CELLAR INSIDER: "Licorice, spice, flowers, black cherries, espresso, and black raspberries create the complex aromatics. The palate is round, supple, and fresh, featuring sweet, ripe plums, black cherries, and a hint of cappuccino finish. The wine blends 86% Merlot, 7% Cabernet Franc, and 7% Cabernet Sauvignon. 13% ABV. Harvesting took place September 25 - October 9. Drink from 2028-2045."

ANSON: "Gentle grilled cedar and campfire, soft purple colour, chalky even flinty tannins that are reflective of its clay limestone soils. This is a wine that steals up on you, charmingly so, as you sit and allow the fruit to unroll. They have done a good job with the vintage, teasing out concentration, and the acidity is kept measured and in check. Not a wine to age for decades, but there is plenty to enjoy along the way. 3.45 pH, 66 IPT, 75 % new oak. Harvest 25 September to 9 October, 34 hl/ha yields. Heavy bottle, tasted twice. Really is a wine to watch, sappy with energy and limestone signature but also rich fruits."

VINUM: "Intensiver Duft, Veilchen, Schwarzkirsche, Johannisbeeren, kalkige Mineralik; satter Gaumen, zeigt Dichte und Rasse, feinkörniges Tannin, gut verpacktes Holz, der Wein zeig Schliff und Finesse, hallt lange nach. Sehr gelungen, hat Reserven."

FALSTAFF: "Dunkles Rubingranat,opaker Kern, violette Reflexe, dezente Randaufhellung. Zart nach Sanddorn, dunkles Beerenkonfit, Nuancen von Hagebutten, tabakige Würze. Schlank, rotbeerig, frische Kirschen, lebendig strukturiert, präsente Tannine, mineralischer Nachhall, wird von Reife profitieren."
