THE WINE CELLAR INSIDER: "Black cherries, flowers, and dark chocolate is what you initially find in the perfume. Equally fresh, and elegant, on the palate, the red fruits are vivid, soft, and crisp, with hints of spice, and a cool, background note of mint at the end of the finish. The wine blends 56% Merlot, 42% Cabernet Sauvignon, and 2% Cabernet Franc. 12.9% ABV, 3.62 pH. Drink from 2028-2044."

ANSON: "More intensity through the palate than the Tourelles, good quality with a fragrant grip and softly spoken black fruits. The fresh acidities of the year are evident, balanced by a floral wash and lift on the finish. No Petit Verdot in the blend this year, but excellent Cabernet Franc from a new plot. 3.62 pH, 50% new oak for ageing. Pierre Montegut technical director."

JEB DUNNUCK: "A clear step up in quality, the 2024 Les Griffons De Pichon Baron is darker fruited, with some classic Pauillac graphite and currant notes as well as medium-bodied richness and depth. It has ripe tannins, wonderful purity, and outstanding length. The Les Griffons is 56% Merlot, 42% Cabernet Sauvignon, and 2% Cabernet Franc, aged in 50% new oak and hitting 12.9% alcohol and 3.62 pH."
