JAMES SUCKLING: "A light but crunchy wine with plenty of red cherries, minerals and hibiscus. Medium-bodied palate with juicy fruit and firm, fine-grained tannins. Long and really balanced. There is a lot to like if you want freshness and drinkability. 68% cabernet sauvignon, 21% merlot, 10% cabernet franc and 1% petit verdot."

DECANTER: "Floral tones with black fruit. Thick and almost rich in terms of texture, a good weight on the palate with succulence thanks to mouthwatering acidity and super fine wet-stone edged tannins. Feels very Pedesclaux, mineral and sleek, but with lovely finesse and detail. Manages to drive the power in a straight line with lots of fruit and thrust. I like this a lot. Great strawberry juiciness and just-ripe cranberries. There’s tang but also a gentle power surging through. Tension and grip but above all a bright acidity that keeps it almost sherbet like. 1% Petit Verdot completes the blend. Ageing 50% new barrels. 3.66pH."

ANSON: "Cloves and white truffle dominate the opening moments of the wine, and this is sappy and slatey with plenty of bright blueberry and red cherry fruits, good depth and texture. A lovely wine, if shorter through the finish than in recent vintages. Harvest 24 September to 19 October. 3.66 pH. 30% new oak for ageing."

LISA PERROTTI-BROWN: "Deep garnet-purple colored. Trots out of the glass with energetic notes of black and red currants, kirsch, and menthol, plus a waft of garrigue. The light to medium-bodied palate is pure and plush with great tension and an herbal lift on the finish."

THE WINE CELLAR INSIDER: "Showing a nice depth of color, the wine exudes flowers, currants, cigar box, and cedar in the perfume. Fresh, and creamy on the palate, the wine delivers its layers of cassis, with only a hint of leafy herbs which do not show up until the end of the finish. This is quite successful for the vintage. Give it a few years in the cellar, and enjoy it over the following 2 or more decades. The wine blends 68% Cabernet Sauvignon, 21% Merlot, 10% Cabernet Franc, and 1% Petit Verdot. 13% ABV. 57% of the harvest was placed into the Grand Vin. Harvesting took place September 24 - October 7. Drink from 2028-2045."
