JAMES SUCKLING: "A juicy wine with currants, cherries and touches of minerals and olives. Juicy and attractive on the palate, with firm, nicely chewy tannins and a fresh and pretty lengthy finish. 65% merlot, 30% cabernet sauvignon and 5% petit verdot."

THE WINE CELLAR INSIDER: "Black cherries, cocoa, smoke, and red plums form the wines character. Medium-bodied, soft, forward, and fresh, the plummy finish is quite charming. This is going to be delicious on release, and will be even better with some time in the bottle as it will easily age for at least a decade or more. The wine blends 65% Merlot, 30% Cabernet Sauvignon, and 5% Petit Verdot. Drink from 2027-2039."

JEB DUNNUCK: "Tasted on multiple occasions, the 2024 Château Lespault-Martillac should certainly be an outstanding wine. Based on 65% Merlot, 30% Cabernet Sauvignon, and the rest Petit Verdot, it has a healthy ruby/purple hue and aromas of dark cherries, currants, smoky tobacco, and graphite. Medium-bodied and nicely layered, it has an elegant mouthfeel, ripe tannins, and plays in the forward, supple style of the vintage. It should drink well right out of the gate yet still evolve gracefully in bottle."

FALSTAFF: "Dunkles Rubingranat, violette Reflexe, zarte Randaufhellung. Zart nussig, ein Hauch von schwarzen Beeren und Nougat, dezente Edelholzwürze, kandierte Orangenzesten. Saftig, mittlere Komplexität, reife Pflaumenfrucht, integrierte Tannine, mineralisch im Abgang, verfügt über Reifepotenzial."
